Alec was amused by her words and stared at her with a hint of derision. "Do you think we're that close?"

"Alec, I know you're upset because of Jenny, but you don't have to take it out on me." Blake was displeased. No matter what, she was still a daughter of an affluent family. Although she didn't have much presence within the family, no one else dared to talk to her so rudely.

Unfortunately for her, Alec never cared about her status or upbringing.

He looked at her impassively, and Blake felt a shiver run down her spine. "I know about Jenny's situation, but I swear it has nothing to do with the Watkins. They wouldn't want to mess with the Walters."

"What do you want from me?" Alec was not in the mood to chat with her and just wanted to send her away.

"I just came to see you. You must be feeling bad about Jenny taking care of Evan for the rest of her life. We were together for some time, and even though we've separated now, we're still friends. As a friend, I should care about you," she justified.

However, Alec's expression became more displeased because of her words. He stared at her glumly with an unamused gaze. "You seem to be quite informed of the events in the city."

"The Watkins has some influence in Bardoff City, after all." Blake didn't deny the fact that she was keeping an eye on Jenny because there was nothing to deny concerning that. Not to mention Jenny, who among the Ten Elites in Bardoff City didn't keep an eye on each other? Even Alec was probably keeping an eye on everyone as well.

Alec sneered and started his car. "I don't need your concern. You'd better take care of yourself. If I'm not mistaken, the Watkins should be preparing to hand over the family business to your younger brother. Are you okay with that?"
