When Jenny heard that, she opened her mouth, yet was at a loss for words. She chose to remain silent.

Not long after, they reached Evan's villa. Howard helped her bring her things inside.

"Jenny, go pick out a room that you like." There were many rooms in the villa. Besides the master bedroom where he slept, every other room was empty.

"I'll just stay in the room next to yours.=," Jenny said. "It'll be easier for me to care for you."

"Alright." Evan nodded and looked at Howard. "Put Jenny's things in the room."

"Alright." Howard took her suitcases upstairs.

Jenny stared as Howard left. It was then that Evan introduced him to her. "He was my assistant when I was overseas. When he heard about the incident, he flew over to see me. You can order him around in the future."

"He…probably isn't just an assistant, is he?" Jenny smiled dryly. She wasn't clueless about what Evan did. How could he have an assistant in this situation?

Evan was stunned. He'd forgotten that he had already told her about his business overseas. Although Jenny didn't know that he was the commander of a troop of assassins, she knew that the work he did was dirty.

He snapped back to reality and smiled, saying, "It's not as bad as you think. I was just a muscleman. Because of my skills, I managed to have a few students."

"Is that it?" Jenny was surprised. She thought that Evan was the ringleader of some sort of gang.

"Of course. Don't overestimate me." Evan smiled, not planning on continuing the topic.

Jenny didn't press on. She remembered Alec saying that the doctor would arrive in two days. "There'll be a doctor coming in two days. Why don't you let him perform a checkup on you?"

"Alright." Evan wanted to refuse, but he couldn't say it to Jenny.
