Evan put on a troubled expression. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have made you come home over nothing."

"Evan, please don't say that. I moved here to take care of you in the first place," Jenny comforted him. As for Alec…well, someone else would take care of him.

Evan's heart was bursting with joy, but his emotion wasn't reflected on his face. "I was asking Howard if I made the wrong decision in letting you move in. You have a life, and it's unfair for you to waste your time on a useless man like me."

She seemed to disagree with him on that. "Evan, you should never refer to yourself in that way. You're not useless! Yes, I moved in with you, but I still go to work every day. My life hasn't changed. And Howard is the one who's taking care of you mostly." Although she wasn't close to Howard, she could tell he was extremely loyal to Evan.
