Letting out a sigh of relief, Jenny said, "Oh, I had dinner with Stephanie yesterday, so it was too late to go to the hospital."

"What about now? Are you working at the hospital?" Evan asked.

"No, I have something to do today, so I may come later," Jenny replied. Evan was staying at Bardoff Hospital, so she couldn't lie to him about being in the hospital.

She didn't say what exactly she had to do, which made Evan somewhat uneasy. "Don't worry. If you're busy, I have Howard to take care of me. There's nothing urgent."
