Jenny was upstairs in her room, completely unaware of what Olivia was planning—not that she cared anyway. She knew that she would be safe in this place as long as she had Evan's protection. Next door, in Evan's study, Howard had just calmed Olivia down and was called into the study by Evan.

"Boss." Howard pushed the door open and saw Evan sitting at his desk, seemingly worried about something.

Evan heard the sound and looked up at him. "Did you notice anything unusual on your way back today?"

"No," Howard replied.

Despite his assurance, Evan felt that something wasn't quite right. It had been half a month since they'd come back to Monaerim. Even if Alec and the others didn't have much influence abroad, they shouldn't have failed to locate him by now.

"Send someone to check if Alec is still in the country," Evan ordered. He needed to know where Alec was.

Howard nodded and left to do as he was told.

After he left, Evan sat in his study, sighing helplessly. "Jenny, what can I do to make you want to stay here?"
