Chapter 450 As If She Were Prey

Jenny walked out of the chairman’s office, tired. She had a bunch of things waiting to be done, and now there was a new task on her list.

“Jenny.” Morgan went to her side cheerfully, eyes shining. “Was it really you on the plane?”

“How I wish it wasn’t.” She wished that someone on the plane knew how to fly. That way, she wouldn’t have had to take over, and something like this wouldn’t happen.

Morgan placed her hands on her face. “You’re a hero! Why are you so sad?”

“I’m not a hero. I was just forced to fly it.” Thank God nothing had happened. If it had, millions of people would be cursing her right now.

Morgan knew that Jenny disliked situations like this, and she comforted her. “It’s okay. The people online have the memory span of a goldfish. They’ll forget it all in just a few days.”

“Hopefully so,” Jenny said.

She said little else to Morgan and changed into scrubs, preparing herself for the upcoming surgeries. She didn’t mind what people did as long as it didn’t bother her.

In the hospital corridor, a young man’s gaze fell on Jenny. He retracted his gaze only when she disappeared out of his sight.

“Jenny Walter,” the young man murmured and smirked. “You look interesting.” He smiled as if he had seen his prey.

That day, a lot of people took notice of Jenny. Even the people in Bardoff City paid attention to her.

In the Walter Castle, Rowena Glass looked at Jenny’s photo on the news. Her eyes gleamed in hatred. A report lay by her hands. The words “Paternity Test” were shown clearly on the document. One would be shocked to see it.

Jolene Walter came out of her room. Rowena hurriedly put away the paternity test. All that Jolene saw was Jenny’s photo.
