Chapter 464 You Think Too Highly of Me

Jenny had just arrived at her office and hadn’t had a chance to do her rounds when someone knocked on her door. She was quite surprised to see Natalia when she opened it.

“Dr. Walter,” Natalia said, forcing a smile as she walked in. She didn’t know how to face Jenny, but for the sake of her grandfather, she had to swallow her embarrassment.

Jenny sat on her chair and watched as Natalia approached her. “Do you need something, Miss Cruz?” she asked.

Natalia nodded. “Yes,” she said, taking a seat in front of Jenny. Jenny waited for her to speak. However, Natalia fell silent, seemingly unsure of how to begin. She felt embarrassed, especially because she and Alec had pretended to be a couple.

“Dr. Walter, have you and Alec gotten back together?” she finally asked.

She had been away for some time, so she assumed Alec must have explained everything to Jenny by then. Jenny frowned upon hearing that. She thought Natalia had come to talk about something important, but she was just there to ask about Alec.

“Miss Cruz, if you’re only here to talk about this, you can leave. It’s working hours now, so pardon me for not entertaining such a pointless chat,” she said, pointing to the door to signal Natalia that she should leave.

Natalia felt very awkward, but she had to press on. “I’m sorry, that’s not what I’m here to talk about. I actually came here for something important.”

“Then please get to the point.”
