Jolene was incredulous that someone would dare to talk to her like that. She stared at Alec and Jenny, realizing that neither of them respected her as the daughter of the Walter family. It made her feel like a joke.

"Okay, fine! I’ll remember you.' Jolene seethed, trying to restrain herself.

She didn't know Alec's identity, so she didn't dare lay a finger on him. Nonetheless, she wouldn't let him off the hook so easily. If he was just an ordinary person, Jolene had already thought of a hundred ways to end him. She left the store with a cold snort, and her friends followed suit. Since Jolene didn't dare confront Jenny, neither did they.

Once they were gone, Jenny and Alec were left alone, and the place became quiet instantly. Jenny stared at the box. She didn't seem as happy as she had appeared in front of Jolene.

"What does he mean? Does he really value me that much?" Jenny asked.

Jenny didn't think she was special in any way. She was no different from Jolene as she was also a daughter. Since Jolene grew up by Graham's side, he had all the reasons to like Jolene more.

Alec looked at the box in Jenny's hand, suggesting, "Maybe he's genuinely trying to make it up to you."

"Make it up to me?" Jenny chuckled. "Unfortunately, that's the last thing I need."

"Jenny, it's alright. It's completely up to you. I can protect you without him anyway," Alec said, not wanting Jenny to feel burdened.
