To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny) novel Chapter 632

Alec was confused. "Why would he suddenly make such a decision?"

"I don't know," Blake replied. "Maybe it's because he feels guilty about what your grandfather did for him. Perhaps he's trying to make up for it now?"

She didn't know the real reason.

Perhaps giving Alec the opportunity to compete among the Faust family was a form of compensation, especially since the opportunity was rare. However, Alec didn't think the head of the Fausts in Bardoff City was so kind.

It was likely that he was using him to sharpen the skills of the eldest sons and grandsons of the Fausts. They weren't qualified to inherit the Faust family if they couldn't handle the challenge. However, if they came out on top, it would show they were capable and worthy. Naturally, the current head of the family would trust them to take over the reins. As for an outsider like Alec, could the Fausts entrust themselves to him?

Alec's eyes, however, shone brightly. It was still an excellent opportunity. If he didn't cherish it, it would be a waste. He had to seize this chance to establish his position within the Fausts!

"Have you decided?" Blake asked, observing his firm gaze. She had already guessed Alec's choice, so she wasn't surprised.

Alec nodded and stopped thinking about the Fausts. Instead, he looked at Blake and asked, "What are your motives?"

He didn't believe that she had no agenda of her own.

"I'm your doctor. Isn't it my duty to save you?" Blake shrugged. She was lucky to have called him that night and discovered that something had happened to him. As a result, she immediately had people in Parrington save him.

Fortunately, they arrived in the nick of time and pulled him out of the river. If they had come later, they would have only found his body.
