The banquet was held half a month after Graham's discharge from the hospital. By then, his body had mostly recovered, but he was far from his former self.

In the lounge of the banquet hall, Jenny donned a light blue, high-end custom-made dress and left her long wavy hair styled loosely in a relaxed do. Although she was stunningly beautiful, her expression didn't carry much joy. She knew the purpose of the banquet.

"Dad, you're still young and capable of running the company. There's no need to pass it on to me now." She couldn't manage the company, and even if it was entrusted to her, it would only be managed by other employees and professionals, which was meaningless.

Graham sat down beside her. He wasn't angry when he heard her say that. "I'm getting old. After this incident, I suddenly realized something…I used to think there was still a lot of time, and I wanted to wait until later to look for your mother. Now, I understand that accidents are always around the corner. So I don't want to wait any longer."

Now that he and Rowena were divorced, he wanted nothing but to find Jenny's mother. It had always been on his mind, and Jenny knew it.

"I'm just afraid I'll disappoint you," Jenny said, feeling a great deal of pressure inheriting Walter Inc as it was a huge company. Although she technically didn't have to manage it, could she ignore it completely after taking over? Could she still have the freedom she has now? The answer was no.

Graham stroked her head dotingly. "Don't worry, I have chosen some very capable people for you. With them around, Walter Inc won't have any problems. Even if the company goes bankrupt, the funds I have saved for you over the years are enough for you to spend for a lifetime."

He didn't have much property under his name because he transferred all of it to Jenny's name. Hence, Jenny was among the wealthiest of her peers in Bardoff City.

"Okay." Jenny nodded. She understood that there was no turning back at that point.
