Jenny wanted to say that she had no intention of threatening him, but then Evan pulled her towards him. "Jenny is under my protection now. You can't pick on her like that."

"Oh, so you're protecting her already." Gilbert smirked. "Alright, alright. You'll protect her."

Jenny was a little embarrassed, but she smiled, saying nothing.

After the meal, Gilbert sent Jenny home. As for Evan, he returned to Walter Inc. If he agreed to do something, he would do it to his best ability.

He wanted everyone to see his strengths so that everyone would know that he was capable and worthy of Jenny.

After a whole day's worth of shopping, Jenny was exhausted. She wanted to take a nap, but her phone rang.

It was Alec. She was stunned and didn't reach out for the phone.
