Alec glanced at him and said, "Since they can't take the proper routes, you'll just have to let them go along the borders. This shouldn't be a hard task for you."

"I don't need you to say it." Evan glared at him. "I already did, but I'm worried that the Fausts have already prepared for that."

"No matter how strong they are, they cannot place guards at every border. If you let your men leave one by one, the rates of success are high," Alec said.

Unfortunately, his words received no praise. "Do you think this is a vacation? It was hard enough for them to travel in a group. If they split up, they'd have no chance of crossing the borders."

The borders that they talked about were not legal routes to take. They were basically sneaking over to the other country. It was extremely risky. Evan had prepared for them to use a path they had used before. However, he was still worried for them.

"I didn't know you were so sentimental towards your henchmen. I thought you were the type to assassinate them all afterward," Alec teased.

Evan looked pained. "You've watched too many movies. They're my men. I don't want anything to happen to them."

"Alright, alright. You have to be careful. I can't help you." Alec didn't have much support in this aspect. Paul may have a little, but Alec didn't want to involve him.

Evan didn't want him to help, either. He was just upset with his attitude. "Aren't you afraid my men will fail to escape and rat you out?"

"Someone has to believe them in the first place." Alec smiled. He didn't worry about that at all.

Evan smirked. "It seems like I've been fooled by you."

"How can this be fooling you? You didn't want Luke to bother Jenny. Look, he doesn't have any time to do that now. Isn't that a job well done?" Alec said.
