Chapter 897 Am I That Sort of Person?

Not long after, Gilbert had the food prepared. Everyone sat at the table and began to eat.

The atmosphere was better than Jenny expected. The table was pleasant as long as Alec and Evan kept their mouths shut.

It was mostly Zack telling the story of how he and Janet got to know each other and fell in love. Jenny felt envious. It was all she wanted. To love the person she had feelings for without all the complicated emotions.

Alec saw the envious look in her eyes and felt upset. It was his fault. Forget what happened before their divorce. They hadn’t interacted and were basically strangers. What he regretted was becoming her boyfriend and then failing to cherish what they had. That was what caused this to happen today.

"What are you thinking about?" Alec had walked behind her, following her gaze.

"Nothing much. I just thought that the night sky looked pretty." Jenny didn't look at him, fixing her gaze on the moon.

Then, she felt a weight around her shoulders. Alec had placed his coat around her.
