To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny) novel Chapter 908

Jenny didn't overstay her welcome in Yvonne's room. Neither did she care about the identity of Yvonne's attacker. It was none of her business; she wanted nothing to do with it.

When Alec met up with her, she deliberately told him about Yvonne to observe his reaction. There was no change in his expression, as though Yvonne was a stranger to him. She was bored by his reaction and grumbled, "You were close with her. Why don't you look like you care?"

"Jenny, you're impossible sometimes." He sighed and smiled at her in defeat. She was puzzled by his remark, and he explained, "Were you hoping for any reaction when you brought up Yvonne? Did you think I'd care about her?"

She pouted. "It was a casual talk. If you hate the topic, just forget I've ever brought it up."

"No, it's not that I hate the topic. I think you underestimated my feelings for you." He never had feelings for Yvonne and couldn't care less about her getting beaten up and hospitalized. Even if she was dead, he wouldn't show any response to the news.

"Okay." Jenny was at a loss for words as she recalled how Alec had frequently referred to Yvonne as his "savior" in the past. She wouldn't have cared enough to tell him about Yvonne if he hadn't done that.

Sensing that Jenny was upset, Alec hurriedly added, "I'm not blaming you. I just thought you shouldn't test my feelings for you by mentioning her. I was never interested in her anyway." His relationship with Yvonne was no more than friends. Plus, after everything that had happened, he no longer saw her as a friend. Take the example of Yvonne's trip to Bardoff City. He knew nothing about it, and not once did Yvonne visit him. That was clear evidence of their non-existent relationship.
