Half an hour later, McKenna and Derrick were in the hospital director's office.

"So, you mean Jenny disappeared from the hospital?" Gavin Porter, the hospital director, adjusted his glasses and looked at the two incredulously.

McKenna nodded and replied, "Yes, I saw her go to the third floor with my own eyes, but the people on the third floor said they never saw her. Furthermore, Mr. Zeller, who was downstairs, said he didn't see Jenny leaving. Isn't this considered a disappearance?"

"Could she have left through the back door?" Gavin asked. The hospital had a back door specifically for medical staff, after all.

"We went to check and asked the security there too, but they didn't see her leave," Derrick added.

Gavin frowned, thinking that the two of them seemed to be making a fuss over nothing. Sensing what he was thinking, Derrick went on, "Jenny's phone is now unreachable, and her condition when I last saw her wasn't good. No matter what, we need to find her first. What if something really happened?"
