The dress Nicholas had prepared for me wasn’t inside the room.
The hotel collaborated with over 200 brands, and the .irst floor was filled with different luxury shops. But when the butler brought me over, there wasn’t a single person in sight.
“You can take your time to look around the place. Mr. Hawk cleared the floor in advance. You can just take and wear whatever you like to meet with Mr. Hawk when you go on your date later.”
The butler was wearing a white glove as he lifted his hand, did a thumbs–up gesture, and smiled smugly, making me want to hit him.
I chose a long purple dress. The upper part of the dress was a tight tube that had a slit going right down to my belly button.
The soft silk flowed down from my waist, and there were beautiful flowers embroidered into the bottom half of the skirt that would move along with the wind as I walked. It made me look beautiful and
sexy.
I dressed myself up beautifully, thinking I would be the most beautiful person in the room. But the second I saw Nicholas, I felt like time had stopped.
Under the dim lights, Nicholas stood tall and straight in his fitting. suit. He wore a tie, while his shoes had been polished to a shine.. The second he reached his hand out toward me; I felt like I had been
thrown into a dark abyss.
My heart beat wildly, just like it did many years ago when I would wait by the wall for a whole day just to see him pass the road in front of me.
“I don’t know what the perfect date looks like, but I want to take your on one “He smiled lightly as he spoke. But it looked like he was. waiting for me to compliment him.
“You’re the most handsome thing ever.”
I wasn’t lying. He was so handsome that I could not look away. Even the lobsters on the table paled in comparison to Nicholas.
“Mrs. Hawk, you’re so shallow.” Nicholas was dissatisfied.
“You’re much more appetizing than those lobsters over there.”
My cheeks were flushed. I didn’t want to eat any lobsters. I wanted. to eat something else.
Nicholas lips curved into a smirk. He seemed to have read my mind. as he cut a piece of lobster meat and placed it on my plate.
