Chapter 0329
In truth, I did not have any right to reprimand Nicholas After all, I knew better than him about what it was like to act first and think later.
I never thought there would be a day where I stopped loving Nicholas after loving him for so many years.
When I pressed a sharp blade against my neck, I also never thought I would cut an artery because of my shaky hands.
Back when I agreed to date Pete, I also never thought that there would be a day where we would be separated before getting together officially.
Humans would always have a reason for every choice that they make. However, they would have to bear the consequences of their actions too.
“Yes. You’re right.”
I hummed in response as I disinfected his wounds. My movements were swift as I focused on bandaging
his hands.
“I’m only impulsive when it comes to you.”
I paused momentarily when I heard his words. Suddenly, I felt like the wounds on his hands weren’t deep enough. Otherwise, he would not have said such a thing if he was in extreme pain.
His wounds were wrapped in gauze and bandages, but the wounds in my heart could no longer be healed. They had already passed the point of treatment. Not to mention, Nicholas was not the medicine I needed.
I rewrapped his wounds and said, “Nicholas, don’t do meaningless things.”
My voice was slightly choked with sobs, so I cleared my voice and continued, “I’ve finished bandaging your wounds. Be careful to not let it come into any contact with water. If you’re home, you should ask Wendy to come over.
“I’ll be busy with the law firm for the time being, so I won’t be back for lunch and dinner here for the next few days.”
I slowly walked toward the door. Just as I was about to leave, Nicholas suddenly stopped me.
“Ariana, I want you,” he said.
I turned around and looked at Nicholas who was still sitting on the sofa. I didn’t understand what he was trying to imply by saying that. He clearly didn’t want me back when we were on the bed.
“You can have me anytime you want. I’m yours.”
Since he had helped me with Pete’s situation, our “deal” naturally came into effect.
I looked down at my tote bag and asked, “Can we do it later tonight? I’ve already gotten ready, and I’m about to head out now?”
