True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1033

Nerissa was elated to find that she had a granddaughter. She sat on the sofa with Maria and ordered the butler, "Go and prepare dinner now. What are you standing there for? Prepare something delicious today. Whatever the child wants, prepare it for her. Get it?"

The butler was still in a daze.

He was happy to hear that the young master had a daughter. The house was too quiet and was always lonely.

Now, the family home could be full of noise and excitement again, but why didn't the girl have a mother?

The butler wanted to inquire more, but upon hearing both the madam and the young master's instructions, he quickly regained his senses and said, "Alright. I'll get right to it."

The butler left in a hurry.

Nerissa looked at her granddaughter. The more she liked her, the more worried she was for her. She looked at her son and could not wait any longer.

"Where's the child's mother?"

Zachary knew that his mother was worried and couldn't wait to know about the situation, so he said, "I had separated from her mother, Yvonne, six years ago. She was pregnant before I went to the United States. I didn't know about the child until now."

"You're so muddle- headed," Nerissa grimaced. "Why and how can you be so careless? You didn't even know that you'd made some poor girl pregnant. How muddle-headed are you?"

"Mom, show me some respect," Zachary smiled bitterly. He looked at his mother with a helpless gaze and said, "Can we not talk about this in front of the child?"

She looked at her son and sighed. "Okay, okay, fine. Well talk about this later. Then, how did you find Maria?"

"It's all thanks to Grace." He said, "She found that the child looked like me. Maria was with Little Gary and Ernest yesterday, and the three of them are in the same class in the kindergarten, so it's also fate's play."

Nerissa was surprised and said, "Oh, so that's how it is."

The dinner was sumptuous. The butler himself directed the kitchen and there was a large table full of delicious food.

Maria ate and finished everything happily.

After eating, they watched TV for some time in the living room. Zachary looked at his watch and saw that it was quite late. He then nudged his daughter to bring her to rest. "Maria, it's time to rest."

"Daddy, I'm not sleepy." She shook her head. "I don't want to sleep."

It seemed that she was in good spirits and Zachary knew why. Perhaps it was because she had a good long nap in the afternoon which was why she was still energized so late at night.

"Zachary, forget it. The child has just come back, so don't be too strict with her. I will play with you. Let's watch a little longer and head upstairs after that, okay?" Nerissa said.

Maria nodded and answered obediently, "Okay, I'll listen to you, Grandma."

"She's really a good girl." Nerissa patted Maria's head.

Zachary had no choice. Both his mother and his daughter were people he cherished the most. Seeing how they had just got back together, he decided to just let them enjoy their time a little longer.

"Butler," Nerissa called out. "Tidy up the house tomorrow morning, and find someone to make up a room for the child. Buy the best furniture so that she can live comfortably."

"Yes!" The butler immediately nodded.

Maria looked at Nerissa and said, "Grandma, it's fine. I don't need anything much. I used to sleep in the same room with Mommy. I don't need my own room."

"Is that so?" Nerissa felt a strange tingling in her heart. She could understand that it wasn't easy for a single mother to bring up a child. It was normal if they weren't living lavishly. She then said, "Then just make up the room first. You can stay with me first for these few days, and when the room is done, you can have your own room, okay?"

"Okay. Thank you, Grandma," Maria thanked her again.
