True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1037

Everyone in The Jones family home was happy as they had all received a cheque worth one month of their salary.

Those who won the bet were happier, while for those who lost, they felt that it wasn't a loss seeing as how they got their cheques.

Everyone who was with the Jones family was just filled with joy and laughter.

Heinz did not head to the company. He stayed at home and took care of Grace.

He was a really good husband. He helped to take care of everything in a very thoughtful and well-organized manner.

No matter if it was about her nutrition intake or other aspects, he could do a good job.

Their relationship also became more stable after going through so many ups and downs. Plus, now that he was spending more time with her due to her pregnancy, they were getting closer.

On one afternoon, after their nap, Heinz held Grace's hand and brought her for a walk around the garden

The two of them talked while they walked until they reached the backyard.

They opened the door to the backyard and saw a portrait of Lawrence.

It was then that Grace realized that it had been almost one or two months since the incident, and she didn't know how he was doing now.

She glanced sideways and found Heinz looking at the portrait with some deep, inscrutable emotions in his eyes.

She then asked casually, "Heinz, have you seen your father recently?"

He shook his head.

"Did he call you?"

"No." Heinz had never looked for him, either.

Grace had never called nor acknowledged his father before. She found it weird because of the relationship her mom had with him.

He had never asked her to acknowledge him, either.

Ever since her mother passed away, there had been no news of his father other than his last visit. It was as if he had disappeared into thin air.

"Are you worried?" Grace asked gently. "If you are, you can look for him. Even if you just want to see him from afar it's fine."

"I haven't contacted him recently and I don't want to," Heinz said.. "Some time ago, Lester reported to me about his situation. He stayed in a hotel and would only just drink. He didn't even dare go out."

"Why not?" She was a little surprised. "Why doesn't he dare to go out?"

"He's now being chased after by someone because of his debts."

She was also surprised. "Heinz, why does he still have debts? Haven't you paid them for him yet?"

He shook his head. "I'm still angry at him."

His expression was cold and hard when he said that. He practically growled, saying, "Frankly speaking, I do not really want to help him to pay this money. Since my mother-in-law passed away, I have just given up on him. I don't want to say anything more to him. As for his debt, I can pay it back, but I just don't want to."

Grace listened and understood what he was trying to say and how he felt.

He was deeply dissatisfied with how Lawrence treated his mother.
