True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1403

Celeste noticed that Gary had brought her suitcase along and protested immediately, "Why did you bring my suitcase here too?"

"Your roommate gave it to me," Gary replied.

Celeste frowned. Gary must have said something to Ava. Otherwise, why would Ava give him her suitcase and all of her luggage?

She looked at Gary, her cold gaze scanning his innocent and calm expression.

Despite being glared at, Gary still looked composed as he said, "Are you thinking that I said something to her?"

"Didn't you?"

"I really didn't," Gary shook his head and explained, "I didn't say anything. Your roommate just handed your suitcase to me. I asked her why too."

"What did Ava say?" Celeste asked immediately.

Gary stared into her eyes and spoke slowly, "She said that she saw me carrying you back to the hotel. When you looked at me, your gaze was filled with love and affection. She firmly believed that I was not your brother and that I was your boyfriend

instead."

Celeste was embarrassed and stunned. Her face was as red as beetroot.

Gary continued to say, "So I told her the truth. Since she saw right through me, there was no need for me to hide it anymore, right?"

"But we are over now," Celeste muttered as complex emotions appeared in her eyes.

She could not believe that Ava actually said that. However, Gary had carried her everywhere, so it was reasonable that many people saw them.

Where was Ava at that time then?

Her heart felt like it was in a mess. Looking at Gary's innocent and calm face, she couldn't help but feel even more disturbed.

Celeste did not want to talk to him anymore. She took the laptop, found a corner and sat down. Then, she began to translate the materials Flynt gave to her.

Gary looked at her as she ignored him and started to work on her laptop silently. He did not know what she was up to.

Hence, he opened his laptop too.

Celeste shouted immediately, "Don't turn on your laptop."

Gary was taken aback and shot her a puzzled glance.

Celeste straightened her neck and said with a flush on her face, "I'm translating some materials. I know that you can hack into my computer within a minute, so don't use your laptop now."

Gary was stunned for a moment. He did not intend to hack into Celeste's laptop.

"I just want to check my emails," Gary explained, "I've never intended to look at your laptop. Why are you being so nervous?"

As he spoke, he walked over towards her.

He wanted to show her that he had no intention to peek at her laptop at all.

Celeste paused for a moment and felt bad for a second because she was judging him unfairly again. Her face reddened as she was flustered.

Gary sat down beside her, not looking at her laptop at all. He said, "You need some rest. Let me help you with your work. I promise I won't leak any secrets."

"I don't need you to," She refused adamantly, "Stay away from me."

Gary raised his eyebrows. His voice was very low, and he sounded quite tired. For the past few days, he hadn't rested well. Now that she was finally beside him, he said gently, "Then I'll sleep here for a while. You can continue with your work, but please promise me not to overwork yourself."

Celeste ignored him, but her eyelashes trembled as she heard his words. She lowered her gaze and thought to herself, "Why was Gary being so gentle and soft?"

She did not blame him for hurting her.

She just wanted to end their relationship.

"Go and sleep on the bed," She noticed that Gary was about to sit down on the sofa, so she asked him to sleep on the bed.

"Then, you should sit on the bed too," Gary did not want her crouched on a sofa.

"Can you stop being so childish?" Celeste placed the laptop down. She was extremely tired today and did not want to argue with Gary anymore. Seeing how determined he was, she returned to the bed and leaned back against the headpiece before continuing her translation.

Gary laid down beside her and looked up at her. His pitch-black eyes were filled with complicated emotions.

Staring at the girl he loved the most, he admired Celeste's beautiful eyes and delicate expression. She looked extra gentle and ladylike when she was quiet. When she was stubborn, she looked like a bull ready to charge, and nobody was able to control her.

Despite all of that, he still found himself deeply attracted to Celeste. There was no reason for him to feel this way. Because of that, he felt like he was enchanted by her.

He fell asleep slowly while looking at her.

When he woke up, he saw Celeste on the phone. Her voice was gentle and filled with joy, "Yes, Flynt. I've translated everything and sent it to you. I've checked it three times. There are no mistakes."

Gary glanced at his watch. It was already nine o'clock at night.

He looked out of the window. The sky was already dark.

He had slept for a couple of hours.
