Grace Smith could no longer focus on her thoughts. She looked at his handsome face in a daze.
She stared into his eyes. In his deep eyes, there was a reflection that she couldn't understand, and her face turned red.
It was as if she was slowly blending into his world.
It was a really good feeling.
"Hmm?" Heinz did not wait for her answer and whispered in her ear, "Answer me, are you still looking for an excuse?"
She was stunned and subconsciously shook her head.
He didn't hold back any longer. "Good girl."
His voice was so husky and soft that it made those who heard it feel good too.
Grace closed her eyes.
It was going to be a long night.
Grace suffered his wrath through the night. By the time they were done, it was already one in the morning.. They then went to sleep together.
At six o'clock in the morning, Grace suddenly opened her eyes.
She was awakened by the sound of someone knocking on the door.
A voice came from the other side. "Wake up, its time to measure your body temperature."
She suddenly came to her senses. Her waist was held down by his big arm and she could not move. She could feel her whole body aching and sore.
"Wake up." Grace muttered and pushed him.
Heinz frowned and opened his eyes. His usual sharpness and alertness absent from his sleepy eyes. He said impatiently, "Knocking on the door this early in the morning?"
"It's already past six o'clock" Grace said.
"So what?" Heinz raised his eyebrows and put his hand over Grace's forehead. "You're not having fever anymore."
Grace rolled her eyes, "If you can do it with your hands, then there is no need for a thermometer any longer."
Heinz glanced at her and gave her a good morning kiss before getting out of bed.
Grace sucked her breath in and said, "I haven't brushed my teeth yet."
"Do you think I mind!" he replied
She was stunned and composed herself. Then she said, "Will the nurses find out that we've been together the whole night?"
"So what if they find out?"
"Then Nurse Remi is going to prick me twice again, isn't she?"
Heinz frowned. "She wouldn't dare!"
"I hope she doesn't!”
After she got up to freshen herself, she opened the door.
After two minutes, Remi pushed the door open and came in. When she saw her and Heinz, her expression changed. She said coldly, "Miss Smith, it is time to measure your body temperature."
Grace noticed her annoyance, and guessed that the nurses probably knew that he stayed overnight, hence the cold shoulder.
Needless to say, the nurse also knew that he pretended to be gay.
"Thank you." Grace thanked her. "For the hard work."
Remi turned around and left without saying another word.
Grace opened her mouth for a moment but closed it back.
She watched as Remi walked out from the room.
Grace measured her body temperature with the thermometer given by Remi.
Ten minutes later, Remi re-entered the room and said, "Your temperature."
Grace took the thermometer out and handed it to her.
Remi looked and it and recorded it without saying anything else.
Grace asked, "Do I still have a fever? What's the reading?"
Remi looked at her with a cold look. Without answering, she turned around again and left.
Grace was stunned.
"What's with that attitude?" Heinz suddenly shouted coldly.
Remi shivered in fear, as she slowly glanced at Heinz.
Heinz narrowed his eyes and looked at her with displeasure. "Is this how nurses should behave?"
Remi stood there in silence, shock evident on her face. She almost shed tears as she look at Heinz.
"Mr. Jones, what's wrong with my attitude?"
"What do you think?" Heinz asked in a low voice, "Didn't you hear what she asked?"
Seeing that Heinz was so concerned over Grace, Remi couldn't take it anymore. "I didn't hear it. I'm sorry, Mr. Jones. I really didn't hear it."
"Since you didn't bring your ears to work, then you might as well not be a nurse. You are fired."
"No!" Remi was frightened by his threat. "Mr. Jones, I can't lose my job."
"Then do your job well." Heinz said coldly, "I'm warning you, you ought to fix that attitude of yours."
