"Wow, Celeste, I thought you were a lady, who knew that you are such a shrew." Janice did not hold back any longer, she shouted at Celeste.
Her voice was so loud that Celeste felt an impact on her eardrums.
She tilted her phone to one side, stood up, and walked out.
She told herself that there was no need for her to be angry anymore as things had already developed what it was then.
There were some situations where it seemed like perhaps Gary was not the one who took the initiative. Even though he had made some mistakes that could not be forgiven, Gary was not the one who took the initiative.
At least, from how anxious Janice was, she could tell that something fishy was going on.
If so, she did not have to worry about anything. She should wait patiently for Gary to personally explain it to her.
That was probably the philosophy Celeste had recently come to learn.
"Miss Simpson, things are not always like how they seem. I don't have anything to say to you. Also, please do not call me in the future anymore," Celeste said faintly, "I won't do things your way."
"Fine." Janice gritted her teeth as she said that, "Celeste, you are indeed an opponent that I can't underestimate. I admit that I have underestimated you before. However, Gary is my boyfriend now, and you are the mistress."
When she heard the word 'mistress', Celeste's lips twitched and she had a mocking smile on her face. "Miss Simpson, you seem to have made a mistake. You are the mistress. You are the mistress between Gary and I. Furthermore, you are also a mistress with bad intentions."
"Celeste, whether I am a mistress or not is not up to you to decide. That is up to Gary." Janice did not care about what Celeste had to say at all, she only kept her side of the story. "He has already agreed to be my boyfriend.”
"I will say it again. Since he has promised you, then look for him. Why are you telling me this?" Celeste surely ignored Janice too.
Her eyes dimmed, and her gaze got really cold.
She walked out of the villa and took a walk to the back of it. She paced along the backyard of the picturesque courtyard.
The air quality in the mountains was great and the scenery was beautiful too. Even in winter, it still made people feel relaxed and happy.
As expected, after she came out of the villa for some cold air, she felt much cooler, and her annoyed heart calmed down too.
"I want to find you, I want to disgust you, and I love making trouble for you." Janice disliked Celeste, and she started to make a scene.
Celeste only smiled faintly. "What a joke. Miss Simpson, oh, there is another thing I want to remind you about. If you really are pregnant, then take good care of your child, it is not good for a pregnant woman to get angry."
When Celeste mentioned the child, Janice immediately fixed her eyes on her empty stomach, a flash of regret could be seen in her eyes.
At the thought of her child, she felt a sense of discomfort.
Her child was gone, and Gary did not feel an ounce of sadness.
She had lost all of her bargaining power.
She could only wait. At first, she thought that Celeste was an easy target to bully, and that she could make Celeste take the initiative to ask to leave. However, she did not expect Celeste to be such a difficult person to deal with.
Only at that point in time did Janice realize that her plans were not made well enough.
She unconsciously fell into an awkward situation. She had powerful bargaining power, but it was all messed up by herself.
As she thought of it then, she felt distressed.
She could only vent her feelings out on Celeste.
The more unreasonable Janice's words were, the more it exposed her defeat. Celeste said lightly, "I am afraid that you are not disgusting me with your actions. Instead, you are just disgusting yourself."
Janice was so angry that her chest was heaving up and down anxiously, and she felt even more depressed. She shouted at Celeste angrily, "Celeste, what are you trying to say?"
"Nothing, I only want to remind you that it is better to take good care of your child, and build some good karma for it. Sometimes, you really can't do too much, or it will backfire." After saying that, Celeste was ready to hang up the phone.
