True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1989

Their kiss intensified, and so did Gary's enthusiasm.

His fingers touched her long, thick hair. Her soft and smooth hair wrapped around his fingers, just like it wrapped around his heart.

How was he supposed to leave Celeste?

However, what was he supposed to do if he did not give her up?

When he thought of that d*mned woman, Janice, Gary's enthusiasm which was there initially stopped for a moment. His body stiffened once again.

How could he betray Celeste?

She was such a great, pure, and gentle girl. Wouldn't he just be hurting Celeste for doing what he did?

No!

That wouldn't do.

His rationality was protesting immensely, telling himself that he could not treat her like that.

"Oh!"

Gary immediately released Celeste as he panted heavily.

Celeste was stunned, and she raised her head to meet Gary's eyes.

At that moment, the lights in her heart died out completely as well.

She only knew that right then, she felt greatly upset.

She knew that something must have happened, and that was why Gary rejected her.

He was obviously so into it physically, but his rationality and reasoning was rejecting her, and that realization made Celeste feel greatly uncomfortable.

She lowered her eyes a little bit. Her eyes were dim, and it looked like her soul was taken away from her.

The moment she lowered her head, Gary looked at her. All at once, his heart ached as if it was being torn apart, and he felt as if he was suffocating.

She could not bear it at all.

Gary hugged Celeste again. He lowered his head and pressed his forehead against hers. He caressed her back gently with his long fingers.

"Celeste," Gary muttered.

She raised her eyes slightly, and a layer of moisture could be seen in them, mixed with a plethora of emotions.

She had so much to say, her emotions complex and indistinguishable. When he looked at her, he felt that his heart was going to shatter into a pieces.

Gary felt that he had committed too many sins.

How could he make her so sad?

As he was just rejecting her kiss alone then, it had already made her so hurt. Wouldn't her heart be shattered after they broke up?

He was greatly frustrated, his eyes burning with anger. When he thought of Janice, he wanted nothing more than to kill her.

He surely would teach Janice a lesson.

When he was done with Celeste, he would definitely get his revenge on Janice.

Celeste looked at his complex and distinct gaze blankly, with a hint of hesitation. When she saw the rage in his eyes, she shrank back.

When Gary sensed Celeste's slight shiver, he quickly reverted his gaze to a harmless one.

He held her face and stroked it gently. Then, he lowered his head and kissed her tender lips.

His kiss was as light as a dragonfly skimming on the surface of water. It made Celeste tremble

again.

Then, he said cautiously, "Celeste, your body is weak. Let's take care of your health first. Let's go to see the doctor tomorrow and have a check-up, shall we?"

That could also be a reason for him to not touch her.

Celeste sighed in her heart. She could actually clearly feel Gary's desire for her.

Yet, he thought of such an excuse.

Celeste felt that it wasn't just him not wanting to touch her, but it was also because he felt inferior and guilty.

He wanted to say something, but stopped on second thought. It seemed like he was absentminded, and he was probably feeling guilty.

Even though she did not know what happened between him and Janice, Celeste felt that Gary was not the one who made a mistake willingly that time.

That was also why she was so reluctant to leave him.

She did not want to let Janice get her way.
