True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 202

"Indeed, that kind of people deserves a good beating." Seeing her being utterly irritated, Jensen Charm could only say words that were pleasing to her ears. He just felt that a young girl would be at a disadvantage if she were so aggressive and rash.

Alice Smith pursed her lips and was not satisfied with his echo.

Jensen kindly reminded her, "However, Miss Smith, you should understand that while you were indeed protecting yourself from those thugs, you should do it without causing yourself any unnecessary trouble."

Alice frowned and said, "I wanted to but things are just unfair, and I can't believe that you even wanted me to pay for that scum's medical fee. What kind of nonsense is this? Are you a policeman or not? Do you know what justice is?"

Seeing that she seemed to be inexplicably defensive and hostile to him, Jensen said, "Miss Smith, you don't have to be hostile to me. It was my fault just now."

A gleam flashed across Alice's eyes. She was not satisfied with Jensen's explanation.

"I do believe that those hooligans really harassed you and therefore you defended yourself. However, righteousness is relative. The law is fair because it considers all possible factors before coming to a conclusion," Jensen said.

"What?" Alice frowned even more tightly.

"Some people may do whatever they want in the name of self-defense," Jensen said.

Alice was speechless.

She couldn't refute, because she understood instantly upon Jensen's explanation.

The law was based on the interests of the majority, and everything had two sides.

She was defending herself today. However, if the person was badly injured, perhaps she might have really overreacted.

Seeing that she was lost in thought, Jensen said, "Come with me. Let's go to my office and wait for a while. Things might not be as bad as they seem."

Alice frowned and hesitated.

Jensen said again, "I won't spar with you again, so please rest assured."

He was being a gentleman this time.

Alice nodded. "Alright, I'll trust you for the time being."

With this, she followed him to his office.

On the other hand, Heinz Jones, who was waiting outside, received a call from Jensen and knew that there might be a problem.

He sat in the car, and asked Lester to drop by the hospital. Then, he called Grace Smith himself.

It was half-past five in the evening.

As soon as Grace arrived at the gate of the kindergarten, she suddenly received a phone call from Heinz.

She glanced at the phone number and found that it was from Heinz, so she did not answer the call.

After the first missed call, Heinz called again.

The phone rang three times.

Grace did not answer any of them.

So Heinz sent a message to Grace saying, " Your sister is in the police station now and Jensen is in charge of the matter."

As soon as Grace saw the message, her eyes widened in an instant. She looked at her mobile phone and thought that she had read it wrongly. She looked at it again.

Grace immediately called Alice.

As soon as Alice saw Grace's phone call, she felt guilty in her heart. She was afraid that she would trouble her sister, so she wanted to deal with it herself. She refused to answer the phone and replied with a quick message—

"Sister, it's not convenient for me to pick up the call now," Alice wrote.

When Grace saw that the call was not connected and read her message, she suddenly became anxious.

Heinz made a few calls and sent several messages to Grace but she did not respond to any of them.

He was so annoyed that his brows were twisted into a knot. "How could this woman not answer my call? Doesn't she care about her sister anymore?" Heinz thought.
