True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 2175

Her father's words hit home, and it shuddered her to think of the consequences.

Kendrix was a teacher no matter how, and she was his student.

Once the world found out they were dating, the two of them would definitely suffer a blow, and Kendrix might lose his job and reputation.

This was also probably why Kendrix wanted to establish the pact with her.

And her father's pact didn't only put her reputation into consideration, but even more so on Kendrix's.

Sylvia was aware that even if she didn't care about bearing the reputation of dating her teacher, Kendrix would.

Someone who always behaved with the utmost decorum like him would definitely be troubled by such a problem.

This was also probably why Kendrix had been suppressing his feelings toward her this whole time.

At the end of the day, she was the one who let her emotions act for her.

Sylvia reflected on her behavior, thinking that she still didn't fully consider Kendrix's feelings.

It appeared that some things were indeed more complicated than they seemed.

Heinz knew he could put his mind at ease, knowing she was musing on his words when he saw his daughter simmered down and adopted a pensive mood.

Only after she had thought it through and had a clear mind could she cope with the changes that might transpire in the future.

Not everything in the world would go according to your plan, so you have to get ready for it.

"Thank you, Dad." Sylvia had mulled over her father's words and said to him, looking all serious, "I know what to do now. Your reminder came just in time. Thank you."

With that, she bowed to him sincerely and gratefully.

Stumped, Heinz didn't expect his little princess, whom he had been coddling, would bow to him.

She had really grown up, no longer as feckless as she used to be.

She had indeed become more ladylike and mature. However, inexplicably, Heinz still missed that talkative little girl, who always nestled in his arms.

Heinz's heart ached at the thought of his little princess no longer coveting her father's embrace but another man's.

Jealousy had set in.

His daughter, whom he had been pampering her whole life, was about to become someone else's. How infuriating.

Even though he was seized by a feeling of indignation and jealousy, his sanity did not desert him.

He nodded without putting forward too much requirements.

"Alright, go to your room."

"Okay." Sylvia beamed at him. "Good night, Dad."

"Good night."

The girl soon skipped upstairs in a euphoric mood.

It seemed that she had gained something from this trip, leading her to ooze happiness, radiating liveliness.

But all this was given by another man. At the thought of that man having control over his daughter's emotions, he was beside himself with rage.

It had only been, what, a couple of hours, and the girl's mood had fluctuated several times. Heinz sighed again.

Irritated, he retreated to his room.

Grace happened to have woken up when he entered. She shot a glance at him and asked, "Is Sylvia back?"

"She's back," Heinz replied.

Grace heard the discouragement in his tone at once and darted another glance at him. "What's wrong? You look like someone has offended you; did Sylvia make your hackles rise?"

Heinz shook his head. "No, not exactly. She came back in a buoyant mood. How could she make me angry? She kept flattering me and even bowed to me before she went back to her room."

As he spoke, he let out another sigh, looking very melancholic.

"Then you must be jealous because another man has stolen our daughter's heart, am I right?"

Heinz raised his head instantaneously at that and looked over at his wife. "Honey, you're amazing. How could you tell?"

Grace chuckled. "I have been with you for almost two decades; I know you like the back of my hand."
