"Got it." Sylvia nodded, shying away from his eyes. "I won't let Claudia know."

In actuality, she also had her own reasons, worried that Claudia would tease Kendrix; of course, she'd feel embarrassed as well.

Smiling, Kendrix said, "The tea should be cool enough to drink now. Sip it."

"Okay." Sylvia nodded and took a sip obediently. It was indeed a lot better.

"The new semester is about to start. How are you doing with your studies?"

"We've been video chatting every day; you should know," Sylvia said. "Oh, I just remembered. Claudia said she's transferred here now; did you know about this?"

"I know." Kendrix was not too surprised.

"What about you?" Sylvia looked over at Kendrix. "Will you transfer here too? Or will you leave after your internship?"

Stumped, staring at her expectant eyes, he took pains to say he wasn't coming back.

However, as bright as Sylvia was, she naturally

understood.

His silence meant that he would leave.

Comforting herself, she said, "It's alright, so what if you go back to your post. You won't be far anyway; it'll be a quick flight. What's more, I still have school; you being here might just distract me even more."

Frowning, Kendrix knew she was comforting him not to worry about her.

She knew him well.

Kendrix fixed his eyes on her for a while before he said, "Don't get distracted, and your grades can't drop. This is my request to you, and you've promised me as well."

Stumped, Sylvia fixed her gaze at the good-looking man, nodding earnestly.

In the busy street outside the barbecue restaurant.

Claudia dragged Sebastian and Chigo shopping. She wasn't in a rush to make a purchase but strolled leisurely, checking out the trinkets sold.

Claudia took her time admiring the array of goods, not intending to buy anything.

Sebastian's patience was long out the window. Seeing she didn't intend to make a purchase, he knew she was just buying time for Sylvia and Kendrix to be alone.

He had a good impression of Kendrix at first, but since their lunch at the mountain villa, he was thoroughly disappointed with him.

Hence, he thought little of him from then on.

He thought he wasn't a good match for his sister at all. Comparatively, Chigo was closer to them, and more importantly, he had feelings for Sylvia.

As Sylvia's older brother, more importantly, her twin, Sebastian thought he had an obligation to help his sister.

Seeing Claudia was still idling, he couldn't help speaking up, "Are you going to buy something or not? If not, let's get to the barbecue shop already."

"Of course I'm buying." Claudia smiled. "But I can only make a purchase when I find the right one, no?"

"Well, you don't look like you're planning to buy anything at all." Sebastian snorted.

"Look at you; you're speaking as if you know me very well." Claudia winked at Sebastian, finding his sour face amusing.

It seemed that he had too much prejudice against her. So what if she had fallen for him?

Must he hold it against her like this?

Claudia liked to think apart from being a few years older than Sebastian; she was quite a good match

for him.

However, age wasn't something she had control over.

Sebastian said impatiently, frowning, "You've been shopping for well over ten minutes."

"Cause I still haven't found the right one yet!" Claudia spread out her hands. "You can't force me to make a purchase when I haven't found what I want, can you?"

"Then don't buy," Sebastian said gravely.

"No way. I want to, and I have to." Claudia wasn't going to yield either. "Now that I'm finally here, how can I not buy something when there're so many interesting things here?"

"How can there be anything good out here?" Sebastian knew Claudia was just making excuses, not that there was anything exclusive worth buying.

Hence, Sebastian's tone wasn't that great either.

He was already in a bad mood; adding his impatience, he sounded rather resentful.

Claudia sneered and said, "Yeah, nothing here is worth Mr. Sebastian's attention and money, but it's interesting and useful for people like me."
