Sebastian gasped. He couldn't believe that the woman in front of him had the audacity to say this.
Claudia was out of her mind.
How could a gentle and virtuous girl say something as nasty as this?
Once again, Sebastian felt nothing but disgust for her.
His expression sank.
Meanwhile, Claudia understood from his reaction that he was repulsed.
She snorted, "Can't I have a say on what compensation I want for letting you touch my chest in broad daylight for no reason? Why can't I touch you too? Do you think I am taking advantage of you if I did?"
"I didn't do it on purpose, but you are," Sebastian frowned, "Is accidental killing the same as intentional homicide?"
"But the results are the same. Someone still ends up dead," Claudia insisted, "Since you've touched mine, I want to touch you too."
"You are being unreasonable," Sebastian had never seen a person as unruly as Claudia.
"Do you think I am going to let you off the hook just because you called me unreasonable?" Claudia's tone was light as she chimed, "You should be glad you're living in modern society. If you were living in the olden days, you would have to take responsibility and marry the girl."
Sebastian furrowed his brows. The situation was getting more and more outrageous.
However, he knew what she said was true as he had learned about it in history classes.
Claudia added, "I just want to touch you back. I'm not asking you to marry me, so why are you so mad?"
"You've crossed the line," Sebastian grumbled.
Claudia simply scoffed, "Well, I'll tell everyone later that you touched my chest. Then everyone can judge for themselves."
"It was you who suddenly turned around and fell into my arms. I was only trying to create some distance between us."
"But you can't touch my chest while doing so!" Claudia retorted.
Sebastian was speechless. Never in his life had he been in such an awkward situation.
He felt worn out.
Sebastian pursed his lips and tried to calm himself down, talking himself out of arguing with her.
He apologized again, "I'm sorry about what happened, but I can't agree to your unreasonable request."
"I still don't think you're sincere enough," Claudia knew that her request was unreasonable, but she was doing it on purpose. She was amused by him being shy and unable to fight back since he looked really funny doing so.
"Why must you be against me, Claudia Loris?" Sebastian's tone was ear-piercing when he called her name.
"Well, you're right about that. But that's because I know you're prejudiced against me and that you openly show that you dislike me. If that's the case, why should I respect you? Furthermore, you've taken advantage of me, yet you place yourself on a moral pedestal and criticize me instead. Who gave you the right to do so?" Claudia was expressionless, but her words were sharp and deadly, "Since you've never been nice to me, why should I be nice to you?"
Sebastian was stunned as he looked down at Claudia. He frowned.
"Do you think you can be rude to me just because I like you?" Claudia continued slowly and calmly, "Well, you don't have to. I won't sell my dignity out just because I like someone."
Sebastian's brows were knitted together as anger welled inside him, but he had nowhere to vent it.
He felt that whatever he said now was wrong.
The more he spoke, the more she would think that he was being petty.
She felt like she was suffocating, and the pain was ripping through her heart.
Having reached this point, she felt that she should stop. She didn't want to suffer from the humiliation anymore.
Claudia turned around to leave, and the suffocating pain in her heart spread throughout her body. She bit her lip hard to the point that she tasted blood in her mouth.
But soon, she walked back to run her finger across Sebastian's chest despite his shocked expression. Her fingers glided upwards slowly and she lifted his chin, forcing him to meet her fiery gaze.
Sebastian looked at Claudia, the very woman who was as bold as to toy with him while they were outside.
At that very moment, she was acting much like a female hooligan as she lifted his chin and teased him.
"You're a good-looking lad, aren't you? I won't let you take advantage of me for nothing. I can do the same to you too."
After that, Claudia grabbed Sebastian's chin with one hand and touched her lips with her other free hand. The blood on her lips stained her fingers, and she wiped it casually on his lips.
What the hell?
Sebastian's eyes were blazing with anger.
Just as he was about to explode in fury, Claudia let go of him and smiled as if she was gloating over her success.
As she turned to leave, she let out a sigh of relief, feeling more satisfied at how things were now.
She started whistling a tune and a while later, Claudia turned back to look at Sebastian who was rooted in place. She winked at him and said in a bright and clear voice, "You're not mine. Why should I listen to you?"
Sebastian's heart was thumping loudly in his chest. There was a burning sensation lingering on his lips where Claudia had touched him just now. Even his chest was burning, as though it was on fire.
He tried his best to calm himself down but failed to suppress his panic.
