True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 2195

Chigo ended his call shortly, only to find Sebastian frozen in place when he came back. Meanwhile, Claudia was doing some window shopping a distance away.

He glanced at Sebastian and asked, "Weren't you on the way to the barbecue restaurant?"

Sebastian quickly came back to his senses. He felt even more upset when he recalled Claudia toying with him and a faint blush appeared on his handsome face.

"Why are you blushing?" Chigo laughed.

Sebastian was slightly stunned. When he saw Chigo's sharp gaze, he felt a moment of shame and anger but immediately suppressed all his emotions. There was no need to feign ignorance that nothing had happened in front of someone as intelligent as Chigo. If not, he'd only make a fool of himself.

After a short pause, Sebastian smiled, "Let's go to the barbecue restaurant."

Despite knowing that Sebastian was trying to avoid the question, Chigo did not expose him. However, he did give Claudia, who was a distance away, a meaningful look.

Sebastian was shocked when he noticed Chigo's glance, and he couldn't help but admire Chigo's keen insight once again.

It was better not to argue with such an intelligent person.

Yet, silence meant that something was definitely wrong.

Chigo's smile deepened at that revelation.

Defeated, Sebastian instantly knew what Chigo was thinking about when looking at Claudia.

"It seems that Miss Loris has quite the charm," Chigo's smile widened.

Sebastian was speechless.

Chigo then walked to Claudia's side. Seeing that she was picking something out, he only chuckled and asked, "Miss Loris, do you want more time to shop?"

When Claudia turned around, she saw Chigo standing behind her. He was looking at her with a mysterious yet courteous smile on his face.

Chigo was indeed a dangerous rival for Kendrix.

Needless to say, Kendrix needed to up his game.

All the while, Sebastian followed behind Chigo with a blank expression on his face. When he looked at Claudia, his hateful gaze penetrated her

defenses.

Claudia just returned the polite gesture, "No need. I'm done. I was just waiting for you."

"Is that so?" Chigo raised his brow, not exposing her intentions either. He knew she was only trying to make more time for Kendrix to spend with Sylvia.

It was a blessing to have such a dedicated cousin.

"Sorry. I hope I didn't delay much of your time because of the call," Chigo said.

"It's alright. I used up a lot of your time too," Claudia laughed, "Let's go."

The three of them then made their way to the barbeque restaurant.

When they entered the restaurant, there were already two plates of grilled lamb kebabs on the table. Soon, the waiter just happened to bring over some grilled beef, grilled mushrooms, vegetables and the like.

Quickly, the whole table was filled with food.

Kendrix noticed the trio as soon as they stepped foot into the restaurant. As a policeman, he was more alert than the average person.

"They are here," He gestured to Sylvia.

Sylvia grabbed a piece of kebab and turned back to look at the door as she ate. She immediately saw Chigo, Claudia, and Sebastian walking towards them.

She waved her hand calmly, calling out, "Claudia, over here."

"Coming."

Soon, the three came to the table and sat down.

Claudia sat next to Sylvia. She looked at Sylvia then at Kendrix, realizing that they preferred sitting together.

It seemed unusual.

Judging by her understanding of Kendrix, he would never sit next to someone if there was nothing between them.

Yet, he came over right away after she told him about Chigo.

It could mean only one thing.

There had to be something between Sylvia and Kendrix.

With that, Claudia studied Sylvia's expression and realized that there was something fishy about the way Sylvia was acting.

Sylvia's face was red. Even if her head was hung low, Claudia could see the redness on Sylvia's cheeks.

Claudia withdrew her gaze and turned to look at

Kendrix.

Kendrix, on the other hand, looked calm as if nothing had happened.

He was still calm and composed.

In the meantime, Chigo sat down opposite Sylvia. After he sat down, he looked at her with a smile.

"Sylvia, how can you start eating before us? Is it delicious?"

Sylvia looked up and met his gaze. Chigo seemed quite happy to be here and he was greeting her casually. It seemed like no more but a normal conversation.

She felt that she had made it clear enough to him by returning the hairpin to him. He was pretty sharp. Sylvia was sure that he would understand what she meant without the need for her to say so out loud.

She believed that he could pick it up from her actions themselves.

Sylvia bore no romantic feelings for Chigo.

But now, he was sitting opposite her as if nothing had happened. She couldn't help but have some doubts.

Kendrix tilted his head and glanced at Sylvia.

Sylvia received the signal and immediately beamed. She said to Chigo, "It's delicious. You guys took too long to arrive, so I started digging in first."

"It's fine. You can always start first if you're hungry. I had dinner earlier, so I am not that hungry," Chigo replied.

"I've eaten too," Sebastian added.
