"Pfft!" Claudia couldn't hold back her laughter.
She didn't expect Kendrix to be so shamelessly right.
On the other hand, Sebastian's expression had changed after being lectured. It seemed that his skills were not as good as Kendrix's.
Sylvia was also dumbfounded, not expecting Kendrix to argue with Sebastian.
Kendrix wasn't holding back at all.
She lowered her head and continued to place kebabs on Kendrix's plate, taking Kendrix's side as she agreed, "Mr. Trevino is right. Sebastian, we should respect our elders."
"I agree. But if Mr. Trevino needs someone to take care of him, doesn't it make him useless?" Chigo added.
As soon as he said that, all of them were stunned.
Upon hearing this, Sebastian looked at Chigo incredulously. Just one sentence was needed and Chigo had successfully framed Kendrix, making the latter seem like a person who was unable to care for himself.
Sebastian thought Kendrix would be angry, but he wasn't. He just looked at them calmly and ignored them.
Chigo wasn't mad either. He kept smiling politely as he looked at Kendrix.
All the while, Kendrix just ate slowly as Sylvia continued to pile food on his plate. It seemed like he was enjoying it quite a lot.
Although both of them looked calm, Chigo felt blinded by their public display of affection.
Soon, Kendrix took a napkin and cleaned his mouth before asking, "Mr. Robinson, are you jealous of me?"
"I don't think I understand what you're saying. Why would I be jealous of you?"
"You're jealous that Sylvia is taking care of me," Kendrix countered bluntly.
No one expected him to say that.
Claudia was stunned, but then she burst into laughter. She secretly flashed Kendrix a thumbs-up as praise for the bomb he had just dropped.
Sylvia felt that Kendrix had changed. He was no longer as reserved as before, but sharp and straightforward.
However, she preferred him this way.
He was more dazzling like this.
Be it the silent or snarky version of him, he still had an irresistible charm, and she was attracted to both versions of them. She couldn't help but fall deeper in love with him.
Chigo grinned, "You're right. I am jealous of you. You gained the respect of the proud Sylvia. You're really something."
Kendrix chuckled, "Well, you can just say so. There's no need to be so sarcastic."
Another snarky comment. Kendrix was not showing Chigo any respect at all.
It was Chigo's turn to laugh. He just looked at Kendrix emotionlessly.
He knew very well that Kendrix was proud of himself now, and he had done so on purpose.
Whatever Chigo tried was useless because he was at a disadvantage from the very beginning.
After all, Sylvia liked Kendrix, not him, so he was bound to lose.
But wasn't Kendrix too overbearing?
It was as if Kendrix had determined that Sylvia belonged to him. It seemed that he was making sure that everyone knew so no one would try to snatch her away from him.
He didn't even try to hide his emotions.
Chigo laughed.
Maybe this was why Kendrix was a better match for Sylvia.
He finally understood why Slyvia was attracted to Kendrix. Kendrix was powerful and overbearing.
Meanwhile, with a personality like his, Chigo was destined to lose to Kendrix.
He wasn't angry at the outcome. He was just unsatisfied with how things had turned out.
Perhaps it wasn't in his fate to win Sylvia over because of his lack of actions to prove his love.
And sometimes, a tiny mistake could lead to a lifetime regret.
Chigo could only chuckle dryly. He refused to entertain Kendrix anymore.
The atmosphere became silent.
Chigo shot Sebastian a look and called out, "Sebastian."
Despite the unwillingness, Sebastian stood up, followed Chigo, and left.
As soon as they left, Sebastian couldn't help but ask Chigo, "Are you leaving just like that?"
"Why not?" Chigo asked.
"Sylvia is still inside."
"I know," Chigo laughed, "But do you have a method to ask her to come with us?"
Sebastian pursed his lips. That was right. What else could he do?
It was a fact that Sylvia liked Kendrix.
Sebastian glanced at Chigo and sighed, "Are you going to give up like this?"
Chigo shook his head and replied, "I never thought of giving up. But I did say I wouldn't force anything."
This was also the reason why Sebastian trusted Chigo.
Chigo looked at Sebastian and patted his shoulder, "I'm very grateful that you've been trying to defend me when we were in the restaurant just now. But there are some things that you can't overdo. Sylvia is your sister, and you can't interfere with her decision."
How could Sebastian not understand this?
It was true that he could not interfere with his sister's decision.
Sylvia was free to like whoever she wanted.
He was just feeling sorry for Chigo.
Just then, Claudia came out of the restaurant to get her luggage which was in Sebastian's car.
She wanted to move it into Kendrix's car.
After catching up with Sebastian, she asked, "Hey, Mr. Sebastian, could you please help me move my luggage to my cousin's car?"
Sebastian took a look at Claudia. Sylvia and Kendrix were not with her, meaning that she was giving them a chance to spend time alone. He was displeased, and so he grumbled, "Do it yourself."
