True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 2209

Claudia blinked in surprise when she noticed that Sylvia was not falling for her tricks. Something was not right.

Shouldn't Sylvia be in a hurry? Claudia wondered.

With her understanding of Sylvia and Kendrix, as well as her assumptions of what was going on, she thought that something really had happened between the two of them.

It also seemed like Sylvia was merely pretending to be calm. She did not even mention Kendrix.

Sylvia's behavior made Claudia even more doubtful, piquing her interest.

It seemed like Kendrix and Sylvia had agreed not to tell anyone about their relationship.

But Claudia was not just anyone! Claudia thought to herself.

Claudia was a little unhappy that they were actually hiding something from her. They really thought she was like a child who would not notice anything.

Having failed to get anything out of Sylvia about her relationship with Kendrix, Claudia felt somewhat disappointed.

"Okay, I'll call Kendrix," Claudia said in a meaningful tone, smiling.

"All right." Sylvia did not try to stop her at all.

After hanging up, Sylvia sent a message to Kendrix to tell him what happened.

She also texted, "I think we should postpone our video call session tonight. I'm afraid that Claudia will suspect something. She's smart, so she should be able to see through us. I don't want her to get suspicious."

After seeing that message, Kendrix frowned. He immediately replied, "So what if she knows about it? Are you afraid of her?"

When she received his message, Sylvia took a deep breath. "I just don't want her to know yet. Didn't we agree to this? We shouldn't let anyone know."

Kendrix did not care about what Claudia would think about it. Claudia was just a troublemaker. Just as he was about to reply to Sylvia's message, his phone rang. Claudia was really calling him. Kendrix's frown deepened.

He stared at his phone, then ended the call without answering.

He was still frowning when he thought of something. He should block Claudia's number for

the moment.

Not only did he block her number, he even blocked her on Whatsapp.

Meanwhile, Sylvia was thinking that her decision was for Kendrix's good. The more people knew about their relationship, the more unfavorable it would be for Kendrix.

Of course, Claudia was Kendrix's cousin, so she would not do anything to hurt Kendrix.

However, Sylvia had her reason for insisting on it. She did not want Kendrix to take any risks.

After drying her hair and brushing it, she sat on the edge of the bed and prepared to change into her pajamas.

She took off her bathrobe, but before she could put on her pajamas, her phone rang. It was a video call.

Sylvia looked at it and realized that Kendrix was the one calling.

She quickly put on her pajamas and glanced at herself to check how she looked. Only then did she answer the call.

The moment the call was connected, Sylvia saw Kendrix's handsome face.

He was looking at the camera, seeming particularly solemn.

Nonetheless, Sylvia liked the feeling she got when she looked at him. He was truly handsome.

He was so handsome that others might find it rather intimidating.

Sylvia lowered her eyes slightly and asked, "Didn't I tell you to not call? Why are you calling? What if Claudia tries to call you?"

"I blocked her. I blocked her number and her Whatsapp," Kendrix said expressionlessly. He did not think that there was anything wrong with his tone and behavior.

"What!" Sylvia exclaimed. "You actually blacklisted your cousin? Isn't that a bit too much?"

"Isn't she the one being too much?" Kendrix asked in a questioning tone.

Sylvia did not know what to say to that. His words did seem to make some sense.

Claudia was testing her, even though Claudia knew she did not want to say anything. Therefore, Claudia was taking it a little too far. However, after looking at Kendrix's attitude, Sylvia was quite surprised. He was so overbearing that she found it rather shocking.

"Are you just temporarily blocking her, or for a long time?" Sylvia smiled and asked.

Kendrix gazed at Sylvia deeply. "You can decide on that. I'll unblock her whenever you want me to. If you want me to block her forever, I won't have any objections to that." "Oh my, how could you do that? She's your cousin. Can't you be nicer to her?" Sylvia could not help protesting.

"Since she's my cousin, then she shouldn't make things difficult for you."

From Kendrix's perspective, even if Claudia guessed their situation from their actions, she should not try to press for answers, much less make fun of Sylvia.

"Mr. Trevino, are you trying to vindicate me?" Sylvia leaned closer to the camera and asked Kendrix with a smile.
