Lester felt odd about Heinz's order. He had a distinct feeling that it must be related to Marry.
However, he dared not give any advice seeing that Heinz was seething with rage. He nodded respectfully and said, "Yes."
In the next second, Heinz punched the back of the chair.
Lester was startled and looked at him in shock.
After the punch, he leaned on the seat, closed his eyes and did not say a word.
At the same time, his phone rang, but he did not answer.
Lester had no idea who was calling and wouldn't know too since the phone was in Heinz's pocket.
It rang for a while and finally stopped.
"Start driving," Heinz ordered.
"Yes." Lester immediately ignited the car and turned around to leave.
Just as they were turning around the corner, he caught sight of Alice.
She was walking with a few bags in her hands.
Lester glanced at her and thought of what Heinz had just said. He decided to stay silent.
The car passed by Alice.
Turned out Alice was coming back from school and
had brought some groceries for Grace.
She didn't notice Heinz's car and went straight into the building.
As soon as she entered the house, she saw Grace kneeling on the floor, burying her head in her arms like a lost soul.
Startled, she closed the door and asked anxiously, "Grace, what's wrong? Why are you kneeling at the door? Have you been back for a long time?"
Seeing that she had changed into her pajamas and her seemingly washed hair, Alice knew the answer.
Grace suddenly came to her senses.
She slowly lifted her head to look at Alice. Once she met Alice's eyes, her eyes widened and was gradually gaining focus.
Without saying a word, she blinked her eyes and burst into tears.
"Grace, don't scare me. Are you okay?" Alice got to the ground and looked at her. "I came straight from school after hearing that you're getting discharged. But what happened? Why are you crying?"
Alice couldn't stand to see her cry.
With tears still hanging down her face, Grace shook her head and smiled, which was confusing.
Alice was baffled to see Grace acting weird. She asked with concern, "Was it Heinz again? It's him, right?"
Grace froze. His words came into her mind again, which once again tore her heart into pieces.
"It must be him." Alice widened her eyes, which were burning with fire. "What has the coward done to you this time? Was leaving you alone at the hospital not enough?
"You saved his life and yet he was so heartless. It's ridiculous."
I'm going to settle the score with him right now."
As Alice spoke, she stood up and headed to the door.
"Alice! No!"
Grace grabbed the corner of Alice's jeans.
