True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 445

"Ah," Grace was shocked, with a touch of embarrassment in her eyes.

It did not occur to her that Professor Brooks was actually Tyler's mother.

This was just too scary.

She looked at Tyler in surprise.

He didn't show much emotion, as if this wasn't important at all.

"It seems that Tyler hasn't told you that I am his mother!" Laney understood as soon as she saw the expression on Grace's face.

Grace nodded and said, "Yes, Professor Brooks. Tyler didn't mention that at all. I didn't know you are Tyler's mother."

Laney glanced at her son with a hint of hidden bitterness. "Perhaps he thought that I would embarrass him."

"Well, you did," Tyler said very rudely, "Every time I tell my friends that you're my mother, many of my classmates' parents want you to paint for them. Do you even have the time to paint?"

Laney was at a loss for words.

Grace also understood.

Tyler said, "If you're not that generous, then don't show off your identity. Anyway, Grace won't covet your paintings anyway. If they want to see your work, they can just go and find them in a book."

"How can you be so rude when you speak, child?" Laney was choked by her son's words.

"I'm not as rude as your old bestie," Tyler said sarcastically, "Your bestie is rude yet she still thinks that she is reasonable."

"Well, Aunt White knows that she was wrong. Besides, it's my fault. I misunderstood. I thought you brought Grace to meet me because she was your girlfriend," Laney said.

In the face of Laney, and thinking about what Aunt White had said before, Grace still felt embarrassed.

"Professor Brooks, it's not like that," Grace could only explain, "Tyler and I really are just good friends."

Upon hearing Grace's words, Tyler's eyes narrowed. He looked at Grace and turned his face away.

Laney stared at her son. When she saw the look of loneliness in his eyes, she suddenly understood something.

She was afraid that this was only her son's wishful thinking.

When she looked carefully at the girl in front of her, she found that she was embarrassed but her eyes were very clear and pure. She knew that it was a misunderstanding.

"Grace, I've already understood everything," Laney smiled and said, "Tyler just explained that both of you are good friends. It was Aunt White and I who misunderstood."

She looked into Laney's eyes. Seeing that she was in a hurry to explain herself, Grace was too embarrassed to say anything else.

"Mom, you guys can eat on your own," Tyler said, "I'll eat with Chuck and Grace."

Laney was stunned and said, "Don't be like this. Aunt White has also realized that she was wrong. There shouldn't be any misunderstandings anymore. She also intends to apologize to Grace."

"No, there's no need for that," Grace shook her head and said, "It's fine as long as the misunderstanding is resolved."

"Then come back with us," Laney said, "We agreed to eat together. Let's eat together and let us apologize to you sincerely."

"You are being too serious." After thinking for a while, Grace felt even more awkward and said, "Okay, Professor Brooks, let's go back and eat together. If the misunderstanding is solved, everyone will be happy."

"What a reasonable child," Laney sincerely praised her and looked at her son. "She has already agreed, so you don't have to say anything more."

"Chuck hasn't agreed yet," Tyler said in a low voice.

"Ah, I- I'll listen to Grace," Chuck quickly said, "Mr. Henley, I think we should just have a meal together with Professor Brooks and Aunt White. Let's go there together and resolve the misunderstanding."

"Yes, that's right," Grace said in a deep voice. "This way, it won’t be awkward when we meet next time."

Tyler turned his head to look at Grace. There was a glimmer of light in his eyes. He sighed and said in a low voice, "Okay, but I have something to say first." Laney looked at her son, "I know what you're thinking. Don't worry, Aunt White won't talk nonsense anymore.¹'

"She better not," Tyler said in a low voice, "Let's go."

After all this, Grace and Chuck returned to the room.

Aunt White was also stunned when she saw them coming back. When she saw Laney's warning eyes, her face stiffened as she stood up.

Grace also saw her expression. She pulled her lips and forced a smile on her face.
