Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 699

Next, Rhett tried to contact Frederick, only to receive no response. He contacted another two people, but the result was the same.

Assuming that they were facing problems on their sides, Rhett decided to initiate plan C.

Even if it meant ruining the banquet, he couldn't let Hera reveal what happened that year.

At the same time, Linda was yelling at the walkie-talkie in the broadcast room, "Shoot her! Kill her now!"

The sniper received the order and aimed at the back of Hera's head. Right when his finger was going to squeeze the trigger, a bullet suddenly flew over from the side and blew up his head!

A loud sound echoed at the same time. Someone kicked open the door, and the glass windows were shattered due to outside force.

From the door and the windows, two groups of armed forces flooded the room.

Those were Linda's men!

"Kill her!" she ordered in Terranish before quickly fleeing from the room.

The people at the entrance quickly brought their arms upon hearing the order. Alarmed, Hera quickly hid in a corner.

Suddenly, a figure rappelled down from the window and redirected their aims with a kick. The bullets flew at the ceiling, sending dust and debris down.

Chaos surged, and the gunfire didn't stop in the room.

Suddenly, a loud explosion rocked the floor vigorously. Hera failed to catch her balance and didn't have time to find cover.

As the flames were about to devour her, a tall figure rushed over and protected her with his body from the blast and shockwave.

Her ears were buzzing because of the shockwave. She even felt like vomiting because of the smoke and burning debris.

She quickly pushed the man away, not knowing if he was a friend or a foe. When he propped himself up, those eyes made her stop resisting.

"I'm here. Don't be afraid." He carried her, dodging the bullets and hiding under a table far from the entrance.

Hera's heart pounded hard against her chest due to the blasting gunfire. Her mind went blank, but she somehow felt safe while holding his hand tightly.
