Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 701

The thought of Hera having a ticking time bomb by her side made Bernard regret letting her go ahead first. He didn't receive any response on his phone, and time seemed to pass very slowly.

Bernard was dying to rush over there and take Hera away immediately. But he had no way of getting to her since the mercenaries were still on guard outside, and more of them had arrived.

After a long time, Hera's voice finally came through the phone. "Bernard, I've found the bomb!"

She lay on the ground, staring at the bomb installed beneath the server. Its screen displayed the countdown.

"Two minutes and 30 seconds remaining. Two minutes and 29 seconds…"

Bernard's heart clenched. "Ignore that. Quickly go to the window."

Hera looked at the window behind her. Her heartbeat involuntarily sped up. "What about you?"

"You should get out first. I'll climb out from this window on my side," Bernard consoled her.

But Hera wasn't a fool. Mercenaries were guarding the window on his side. Bernard could only kill them if he wanted to escape.

However, killing the mercenaries would trigger the bombs on their bodies to explode. That was far more dangerous.

"I'll take some photos for you to have a look." Hera ignored his protests.

She moved the surveillance server aside with difficulty before laying the bomb flat on the ground. After exposing the wiring, she snapped a few photos before sending them to Bernard.

He tapped on the photos and realized it was a new type of complex heavy-duty bomb. Although there were nine wires of different colors, the bomb would still explode no matter which wire was cut.

Moreover, the explosive power of this bomb was different from that of the suicide bombers out there. This bomb could destroy the entire building.

The thought of the consequences made his blood run cold and sent a chill through his entire body.

"Have you seen the photos? Which wire should I cut?" Hera found a pair of scissors. Her heart was pounding so hard that it was almost about to leap out of her throat.
