Imogen immediately cast a strange look at Adam as if asking him, "I mean, aren't you guys too confident?"
Before this, Imogen might have thought Eason stood a chance.
However, after hearing Cordelia's true feelings, she felt her chances were even better than Eason's.
Cordelia had no romantic interest in Eason but only felt gratitude toward him.
Furthermore, besides some minor troubles related to his family affairs, Elijah's other qualities were nearly flawless.
The most crucial point was that Cordelia liked Elijah and couldn't forget him!
Upon seeing Imogen giving him a strange look, Adam cleared his throat and said, "Imogen, Elijah can't give Cordelia happiness."
"So, do you think Eason can?" asked Imogen.
"At the very least, Eason is loyal and capable of handling everything independently. Moreover, he has always been giving quietly without expecting anything in return," said Adam seriously.
Imogen smiled, "For two people in love, they must face hardships together. Don't ever think women should be grateful to men just because men have silently endured the pressure and pain. The opposite may be true. We may dislike men's self-righteousness!"
After saying this, Imogen stood up and returned to her room while supporting her belly.
Adam sat there in a daze. He was lost in his thought for quite a long time without snapping out of it.
Did it mean that all the silent sacrifices and efforts of Eason, whom he admired, were in vain?
This was too unfair, wasn't it?
However, he also knew that Eason had done all these willingly.
Meanwhile, Cordelia had already shaken off Elijah's hand.
With a cold attitude, she said, "Elijah, there is no longer any relationship between us. Please have some self-respect."
