Where Petals of Vengeance Bloom novel Chapter 150

The nurse hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Oh, Claire, she's in room 312 on the third floor."

It was no wonder the nurse remembered Claire so well—her husband was strikingly handsome, even more so than Dr. Lewis.

But really, Dr. Lewis, is it appropriate to bring such a large bouquet of red roses to visit another man's wife?

Victor paid no mind to the curious stares from the staff. He thanked the nurse and made his way to Claire's room with long, determined strides.

Expecting to find Claire languishing in bed, Victor was surprised to discover the room empty.

His heart sank. Could Claire have already left?

As he was pondering this, he heard the sound of a toilet flushing from the bathroom.

A moment later, Claire emerged, clad in her hospital gown.

Seeing Victor without warning, her mind went blank.

When she finally processed his presence, her already pale face turned ghostly white.

How did Victor find her here?

If he knew, did that mean the Linwood family knew as well?

A chill ran through Claire, and without further thought, she turned and bolted.

Seeing her run, Victor tossed the roses onto the bed and quickly caught up with Claire, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back with a firm grip.

"Why are you running? Do you think I'm going to eat you or something?"

Claire's eyes widened in terror as she struggled, unable to break free. Her gaze was filled with fear. "What do you want? Did the Linwood family send you?"

The mere thought of being dragged back to face their baseless accusations made her tremble uncontrollably.

Victor sighed, releasing her wrist. "I'm just here to see you. Don't assume the worst of me."

"See me?" Claire scoffed. "You're all in on it together, trying to ruin me."
