"Sherilyn, you've got something I'm dying to catch!"

In the hospital room, Sylvia was on a tear.

Sylvia and Francis were a step too late. When they arrived at the hospital room and heard Gilbert had awoken, their relief turned to panic upon finding he had vanished!

"A week in a coma, and no sooner does he wake up than you let him yank out his IV and bolt? What are we running here, a circus?"

"Grandma."

Caroline rushed over, linking her arm. "Please, take a breath. Gilbert... he's gone after Sherilyn..."

"After Sherilyn?"

Sylvia was baffled. "Didn't Sherilyn promise me she'd look after Gilbert? So, what, he wakes up and she's off? Can’t she just indulge him a little?"

"He's back!"

A nurse's voice echoed from the hallway.

"Mr. Gilbert and Ms. Gomez are back!"

"Gilbert!" Sylvia's face lit up as she looked up.

At the door, Gilbert was holding Sherilyn’s hand, grinning from ear to ear, and Sherilyn, with her face turned away, wouldn't even glance at her.

Sylvia's heart twisted at the sight. Her grandson was all in, head over heels!

"Grandma." Gilbert offered a sheepish smile. "Sorry to worry you."

"And you should be!"

Sylvia shot her grandson a stern look. "Get back into bed this instant! Waking up only to gallivant around!"

"Grandma, I'm fine." Gilbert patted his chest. "I’m all better now."

"Don't get cocky! Back in bed, now!"

Sylvia turned to call out, "Someone fetch the doctor, Mr. Gilbert is back!"

"He's on his way, Sylvia Johnson!"

Gilbert was pressed back into bed, and soon enough, the doctor arrived for an examination.

"Mr. Gilbert is showing no significant issues. Everything appears normal, though he's still a bit weak. Also, considering the head injury, we should do another round of CT and MRI to be safe."

"Please arrange it, Doctor."

"Of course."

Throughout, Sherilyn stood on the sidelines, and upon hearing the results, she could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
