"Is this...?" Sherilyn watched him, trying to gauge his next move.
Francis had already guessed the situation but asked anyway, "Eddie didn't come looking for you, did he?"
"Eddie?"
Sherilyn was puzzled by his question and honestly replied, "He did come by in the morning, but after dropping me off at the studio, he left."
So, Eddie wasn't here.
Francis felt a sinking feeling in his heart, unsure of how to proceed, "Sherilyn, if Eddie comes looking for you, could you give me a heads-up?"
What did he mean by that? Sherilyn was surprised, "Big bro, can't you get in touch with him?"
"Yeah."
After hesitating for a moment, Francis nodded, his expression unreadable.
"Big bro..." Sherilyn hesitated before asking, "Did something happen to Eddie?"
"Well..."
Struggling for a moment and weighing his options, Francis finally said, "It's not my place to say. Let's wait until we get in touch with Eddie. He'll tell you himself."
"Okay."
Sherilyn nodded, her mind filled with questions.
It seemed like something serious had happened.
By late afternoon, after Sherilyn had finished her scenes, she left the studio to find it had started to rain.
Checking her phone, she found no missed calls or unread messages.
Had there been no word from Eddie?
After a moment's hesitation, she dialed his number.
"The number you have dialed is switched off."
Still no connection.
Sherilyn frowned, wondering what could have happened.
She returned to Sunset Ridge Community.
As soon as she opened the door, Jenna rushed over, "Mommy!"
