Whispers Turn to Whimpers: Could He Ever Change? novel Chapter 778

Yuna was pacing around her room, a mix of restlessness and boredom evident in her every step.

"What's this?" Her curiosity was piqued as she spotted a bag on the desk, instantly recognizing the BMW logo gleaming on its surface.

Her eyes lit up with excitement as she rifled through the bag, discovering a car purchase receipt and all the necessary paperwork inside.

"Galen, did you buy me a car?" she exclaimed, a blend of surprise and delight in her voice.

The sound of the shower stopped, and Galen emerged, quickly crossing the room to snatch the papers from Yuna's grasp, stuffing them back into the bag.

His face was stern as he reprimanded her, "Who said you could just come into my room and go through my things? Can't even show some basic respect?"

"Why are you being so harsh?" Yuna was taken aback, pointing at the bag, "This car's for me, right? You're just trying to surprise me, that's why you're upset?"

Her mood lightened as she began to smile, "I'm really happy! Thank you, Gal... big brother..."

"It's not for you!" Galen cut her off sharply, his brows furrowed in frustration. "We'll talk about this when you've learned to behave."

"What do you mean I haven't behaved?" Yuna protested, still fixated on the bag, "If it's not for me, then who is it for?"

"That's my business," Galen refused to elaborate, unwilling to drag Sherilyn into their squabble.

"Hmph!" Yuna huffed, stomping her foot in indignation, "Just you wait, Galen!"

With that, she spun on her heel and dashed off to tattle to Malvina.

Malvina learned that her son had bought a car, but not for his sister.

"Galen, who's the car for?" she asked him.

Galen remained tight-lipped, "It's my business."

"Is it for a girlfriend? That model's quite popular among young women."

"Mom, just drop it," Galen's patience was wearing thin, "Can't I have some privacy?"

"Alright, alright," Malvina conceded, seeing her son's frustration.

But she advised her daughter, "You shouldn't pry either. It's just a car gift, nothing too extravagant."
