Close your eyes.
Sherilyn's mind flashed back to the scene when Gilbert visited her last night.
"I didn't, I didn't push her!"
"I know, you didn't push her!"
"Yes! I believe you!"
"You're lying! You don't believe me at all! You're just a liar!"
Sherilyn thought to herself, he would never know... how many times it was that he didn't believe her.
...
Sherilyn’s opportunity came sooner than she expected. Rebecca White was about to have her eye bandages removed.
On the day of the bandage removal, Francis Johnson arrived at the hospital early. However, as it had been for the past few days, Rebecca White hadn’t seen him.
"Hey, big brother."
When Sherilyn arrived, she found him sitting on a bench outside the room, hesitant to go in just yet.
"Uh-huh." Francis nodded.
"Big brother," Sherilyn said as she sat down beside him, "there’s something I’d like to ask of you."
"What is it?" Francis was slightly surprised but didn’t refuse, "Tell me, whatever it is, I’m here to help."
"It's nothing major."
Sherilyn smiled, "I want you to pass a message to our middle brother, tell him he can call Sophia anytime."
"Sophia?" Francis was puzzled, "Who’s that?"
"It’s a long story."
Sherilyn replied, "Today’s all about Rebecca’s moment, so I won’t take up more time explaining. You ask our middle brother, let him fill you in."
Francis was puzzled, "But why can’t you tell him yourself?"
"We…" Sherilyn smirked, "agreed not to contact each other anymore."
Before Francis could ask more, the doctors and nurses came with the treatment cart, ready to remove Rebecca White's bandages.
Without further questions, Francis and Sherilyn entered the hospital room.
