"Don't worry, Jenna's surgery will go smoothly."
"Okay."
Sherilyn's voice wavered as she hung up the phone. With Galen's reassurance, Malvina's opinion no longer held any weight. If she decided to create a scene, it would merely be an irritation. A little patience, and it would pass.
Malvina stormed into the hospital, her anger simmering all day, unable to swallow her pride.
"Yuna, give me Sherilyn's address."
"What for?"
"Just do it, alright? Enough with the questions!"
After extracting the address from Yuna, Malvina dashed to Sunset Ridge Community. When the doorbell rang, Sherilyn was busy decorating a cake. Sophia ran to answer it, mumbling to herself, "Mr. Johnson must have brought Jenna back, right?"
But when she opened the door, she was taken aback.
"Ma'am, can I help you with..."
"Move aside!"
Malvina pushed past her, yelling, "Sherilyn! Get out here!"
Before her voice could fade, Sherilyn appeared from the kitchen, sleeves rolled up. She wasn't surprised, only slightly furrowing her brows, "Is there something you need?"
"Need?"
Malvina glared, a sarcastic smile playing on her lips, "You know exactly why I'm here."
"I do."
Sherilyn nodded slightly, "If you're here about the surgery, there's nothing I need to discuss with you."
"Nothing to discuss?"
Malvina's eyes widened in shock, "Are you saying you've latched onto Galen for good?"
Sherilyn took a deep breath, keeping her voice steady, "The decision to donate marrow is Galen's. If he didn't want to, I couldn't make him."
