"Hey, Galen."
"Sis!" The background noise on Galen's end made him raise his voice, "You roped in Gilbert! I owe you one for this!"
What? Sherilyn was taken aback. When had she involved Gilbert?
"Galen, what are you talking about? Where are you? It's a bit noisy, I didn't catch that..."
"I'm over at Harrison Logistics right now! Their guys, they reached out, asked me to come over!"
"Mr. Martin!"
Someone was calling him from the other end.
"Alright! Be right there!"
Galen hurriedly said, "Sis, gotta run! I'm off to meet with the Harrison folks!"
"Okay..."
The line went dead.
Sherilyn stood there, phone in hand, piecing things together.
Did Gilbert help Galen out?
He knew Galen was in a bind? But why help without saying a word?
It seemed, there was no real puzzle here.
When Gilbert decided to look out for someone, he'd do so thoroughly and attentively.
"Sherilyn!"
Over there, Michael was signaling to her, "Can we go over our lines for the next scene?"
"Sure thing, Mr. Michael, I'm on my way!"
Sherilyn nodded, picked up her script, and went over to Michael.
The day went by in a flurry, and as the sun set, the evening drew in.
Sherilyn didn't have any night scenes today, so she could leave once she was out of makeup.
"Sherilyn," Naomi approached her, checking her expression, "Um... Mr. Johnson's here again."
Pointing towards the entrance, "Just outside."
Sherilyn paused in her makeup removal, her expression flickering slightly.
"So..." Naomi guessed, "Should I tell him you're busy?"
"No."
Sherilyn sighed almost imperceptibly and shook her head, "Tell him, makeup removal's taking a bit, ask him to wait a while longer."
"Okay, sure!"
Naomi nodded and went off with a smile to pass the message.
