This was the first time Gregory felt like Anathea’s beauty took his breath away,

He’d always overlooked it in the past and treated her as he would a disposable object, a woman who wouldn’t affect him in any way that mattered.

It wasn’t until Anathea gave up on him and walked away with such steely resolve that he realized how much sway she had over his emotions.

Every one of her frowns and smiles would linger in his mind for days. He couldn’t describe the feeling, only that he wanted her back now.

He refused to let her go just like that. If she were so intent on hiding from him, he would have to resort to using different means of finding her.

She’d always wanted to be recognized and treated as Mrs. Sinclair, his lawfully wedded wife. If that were the case, he would give her what she wanted and tie her to him from now on.

Gregory didn’t believe for a second that Anathea would remain hidden after this.

He stared at Anathea’s picture as a look of desire flashed in his eyes

Then, he turned to face the camera as if to look at Anathea through the screen. He knew she might be watching, so he made it a point to make it clear to her. “Nat, I will find you no matter where you go. I swear I won’t let you go so easily!”

He’d called her that during one of the few nights when the heat of the moment had him murmuring close to her ear, his voice a low, sensual purr, “Nat…”

It was a tone one might use with their most intimate partner, one filled with longing that set hearts fluttering.

But at that moment, the pet name was like a devilish chant that rang in Anathea’s ears, especially when coupled with the wicked look in Gregory’s eyes. Her knees shook and caved under her weight, causing her to stagger.

“Thea!” Hannah quickly held Anathea steady and asked worriedly, “Are you okay?”

Dumbstruck, Anathea shook her head, her gaze cutting to Gregory’s handsome face on the screen. As it turned out, he had no plans to let her go.

But why? It wasn’t as if he ever loved her!

Her brows furrowed as fear and uneasiness filled her eyes.

Hannah assessed Anathea’s ashen face and cursed at the man on the screen. “To hell with this prick! What a noble declaration of love! Does he think you care about being his wife? Who gave this joker the audacity? He makes me sick!”

Chloe had no idea what was happening, but she chimed in after Hannah, “Yeah! He makes me sick!”

No sooner had Chloe said these words than Anathea felt her stomach churn. She retched and bolted for the bathroom with her hand clapped over her mouth.

Over at an apartment in Syntherra, Dominic stared at the topics trending on social media, most of whic and his wife.
