“She was in a bad mood, so she got drunk and fell asleep.“
Joshua’s eyes darkened.
After a second, he sighed in a low voice, “That’s understandable.“
The two children that she had poured all her time and effort into raising for six years were now suddenly back in their parents’ arms, maybe she was having a hard time accepting that fact?
“Mr. Lynch.“ Anne frowned. “I have a question.“
“Go ahead.“
“You always said in public that you love your wife, you want her home and you would be good to her your entire life. But now that she’s really back, you come here in the middle of the night. Have you… fallen for Luna?“
“Ms. Zimmer, you tell a good joke.“ Joshua denied without a moment’s hesitation. “I’m just expressing my concern.“ His lips lifted in a faint smile. “After all, she once poured all her time and effort into my children.“
Anne laughed.
“Fine if you don’t want to admit it. I’m going back up. You should go home soon, in case people misunderstand.“
Back in her room, Anne instinctively took a peek downstairs before climbing into bed.
The man remained where he was, lighting yet another cigarette.
She rolled her eyes. Joshua Lynch Early the next morning, the hungover Luna was rudely awakened by the ring of her phone.
The call was from Shannon.
The once proud and haughty Design Director was now Luna’s assistant.
On the other end of the phone, she laughed, as if trying to flatter Luna, “Director, you haven’t been to the office in two days, are you coming in today to guide us with some work? After all, us at the design department need you to come up with the design scheme.“
Luna rubbed a spot between her eyebrows. “Wasn’t I fired?“ “Fired?“
On the other end of the phone, Shannon paused. “
Are you perhaps cracking a joke? Someone like you, you’re so famous, besides you were directly appointed by President Lynch’s father, who could fire you?“
Luna climbed up from the bed, it took her a long while before she could gather her wits about her. “ I’m going into the office today.“

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
