Suddenly, Charlotte stood up. “Grandma, I’m going to wash my face now.” 

There was a bathroom in the ward. She went straight in and washed her face with cold water, forcing herself to calm down. 

Charlotte really longed for Ava’s warmth and the carefree, happy old days, which were, after all, in the past. 

She was not Ava’s biological granddaughter, and if she immersed in such warmth for one more day, it would be like stealing it.

“Oh, that’s no big deal. Why should I be afraid of a ghost like him?” Ava didn’t care at all. She pulled out her cell phone and started watching. 

Charlotte got into bed and lay down beside her, completely enveloped in her dry, warm breath.
