Chapter 272 Not Troublesome at All
“Have you eaten yet?”
Charlotte sat on the sofa and fixed her soft gaze on Julius.
Julius nodded. “Uncle Barrett took me out for a great dinner.”
Charlotte wore a gentle smile, “How long do you plan to stay in Camoreham?”
Julius blinked his large, bright eyes and shot her a serious look. “Mom, how long do you plan to stay?”
Charlotte replied, “I’m not sure. It’s possible I’ll be here from now on. What do you think about that?”
Julius looked slightly anxious. “Why? Even if you and Dad get divorced, you can still stay in Lanceser. Why do you want to leave?”
Charlotte’s voice softened. “Because my grandmother is here. Remember when you video–chatted with her?”
Julius nodded. “Then can I go see her?”
“Of course,” Charlotte replied, nodding. “I’ll take you there tomorrow. You should get a good night’s rest tonight.”
Julius reached out and grabbed her hand. “Mom, can you stay with me?”

His demeanor often mirrored that of Arthur, typically reserved and seldom revealing. Yet, ever since he made the heartfelt decision to mend fences with Charlotte, he found himself swept up in a tide of joy he could no longer contain.
Charlotte gazed at his smile, feeling momentarily lost. “This is the joy a child should express, not the icy demeanor he had so often worn,” she thought.
Barrett resided in the room right next door.
When Barrett opened the door and saw Arthur, he grinned widely. “Bro, good evening. Surprised to see me? Huh? Are you surprised?”
Arthur’s deep eyes looked at him with indifference. “Who asked you to bring my son here?”
Touched by the sudden chill, Barrett rubbed his nose. “I’m Julius‘ uncle. When he asked for my help, how could I refuse?”
A cold glint flickered in Arthur’s eyes.
Barrett hastily backtracked. “I was wrong, Arthur. I won’t do it again. Julius really wanted to see his mother. How could I deny him that? Plus, more contact between Julius and Charlotte might actually help with family harmony.”

“My family is harmonious,” Arthur retorted in a low, steady voice, walking past Barrett. He spotted the wine cabinet, pulled out a bottle, and poured himself a drink.
Barrett’s eyes flickered as he thought, “Harmonious? His wife was planning to leave, and his son was following suit. Where was the harmony?”
