Chapter 398 Sebastian Was a Devil
The faint scent of bitter medicine filled the air. Mason’s arm was propped up against the bed, his veins standing out as he looked at Arthur, disbelief written all over his face. His ears were buzzing, his thoughts a mess.
He thought, “So this is the truth? Arthur has kept his word, but it was Sarah who betrayed him. Arthur hasn’t done anything
wrong.”
“Sarah lied to me? Why?” Mason muttered in disbelief.
Arthur, his eyes cold and unreadable, stared back at him. “Because she regretted it. She wanted to become Mrs. Harrison. When she realized my mother couldn’t give her what she wanted, she resorted to these tactics to get what she wanted.”
Arthur stood up and looked down at Mason, his voice low and emotionless. “Mason, you’ve been unconscious for five years. A lot has happened. I don’t blame you for not understanding, but I hope you won’t jump to conclusions and make rash decisions before you know the full story.”

Arthur’s tone turned cold. “She’ll pay for what she’s done.”
With that, the door to the hospital room closed behind Arthur, leaving Mason to lie back in bed, lost in confusion. He thought, “I just want to make up for the mistakes I felt I have made, but why has the Miller family used me like this?”
At the Hardwick Villa, the sound of things crashing echoed through the room. Emma stood in the doorway, clearly worried. “Sarah, calm down. What’s done is done. You need to pull yourself together now.”
“I can’t calm down!” Sarah’s voice was sharp as she sat among the wreckage, her eyes bloodshot.
Just thinking about what had happened—rolling on the carpet with a stranger, everyone watching–it made her wish she could just disappear. But she didn’t want to die.
She thought, “I have been so close. The drug had just taken
