His voice grew rough as he spoke, “Sarah, I’ll find a way. I won’t let you jump into the fire.”
Sarah hiccupped between sobs. “Mason, thank you. If my sister knew, she would thank you, too.”
Mason’s voice was hoarse as he gave a brief response before hanging up the phone.
He looked up, staring at the pitch–black sky outside the window, his eyes filled with bitterness.
Arthur stepped out of the elevator and saw Diana standing in the hospital lobby, seemingly waiting for him.
“Mr. Harrison, there’s something I need to talk to you about,” Diana said calmly as he approached.
His gaze remained cold, and an air of aloofness surrounded him. “What is it?”

and the one who drugged you was Sarah,” Diana said while taking out her phone and showing him the information she had investigated.
Arthur took the phone and read through all the data. His face grew colder, and the pressure around him became even more intimidating.
Diana could feel the pressure of his presence. She felt
uncomfortable and took a step back, her tone remaining calm as she continued, “Although there’s no direct evidence proving it was Sarah, the chain of evidence is complete, and we only need one more witness to confirm it.”
She paused for a moment, her voice turning hoarse as she added, “Mr. Harrison, Lottie truly loved you. For those five years, she cut off contact with us and devoted herself to your little family. But your indifference cooled her passion, and over time, her feelings for you faded in the face of your constant coldness. Don’t think that she divorced you because of those misunderstandings. She just couldn’t see any hope in you anymore, so she wanted to escape. Please, let her go.”
With that, she didn’t wait to see his reaction. She took her phone
and turned to leave.
The hospital lobby was quieter at night, though people still hurried about, faces etched with worry.
Arthur stood in the center, his gaze lowered slightly. Emotions surged in his charming eyes, and a bitter sensation spread through his heart.
