Arthur turned away and walked toward the elevator.

“Let me take you home first,” Sebastian said gravely. “Don’t contact Sarah ever again.”

Jacob could tell his boss was being sarcastic. 

Arthur’s tone turned cold. “I don’t believe in that many coincidences in this world. Keep an eye on Joanna, but make sure Sebastian doesn’t notice.”

When Charlotte woke up, darkness had already fallen. 

Julius sat quietly in his chair, absorbed in reading a book like a well–behaved child. 

“Julius,” Charlotte called out.

Charlotte nodded in understanding. 

Julius read the message and furrowed his brow before looking at her. “Mom, Mabel asked me what it feels like to have a dad.”
