Asher parked his bike outside his house and we got off. Aaron's car is also parked at the house to the right of Asher's. Hmmm got to make Aaron spill everything. Carter and Aaron are getting along quite well I guess. I am really happy for him. That guy deserves to be loved.
Asher took my hand in his and we went inside his house. A man, an older version of Asher, must be his father, was sitting in the living room. He gave us a warm smile and called for his wife. What the hell is happening here? I am getting a feeling of an interview with the in laws type of meeting. I turned my head to look at Asher but he was looking at his father. I pinched his bicep with my other hand but he just turned his head towards me, giving me a goofy smile. Creepy much. I gave him 'what the hell is going on over here' look.
"My parents wanted to meet you so I brought you here to meet them.", he moved a bit away from me as I glared at him," Please don't kill me.", he said in almost a whisper.
"A prior warning would have been nice." I said in a low voice.
He shrugged and turned towards his parents.
"Why are you two standing their? Come on in. Have a seat." his mother said giving us a warm smile.
She is about 5' with brown hair just like Asher’s and brown eyes. His father is a bit shorter than Asher. He might be 6' with black hair and blue eyes. We sat on the couch and his parents sat opposite to us. Definitely an interview. This is awkward though or may I say weird. Why the hell am I meeting his parents this early? We met literally two days ago. Isn't this going too fast?
"Finally he brought you here. We were so excited to meet you." his father said.
"Nice to meet you too Mr. Wilson." I said nervously.
"Just call me Arthur. This is my wife Christine." He said smiling.
I nodded at them. Asher squeezed my hand but I took my hand out of his and rested both my hands on my knees. I saw him frown from the corner of my eye. Take that for sabotaging me. I am really mad at him for dragging me in this situation without asking me if I am ready to meet his parents or not.
"Amara, you are Robert Cross's daughter right?" Arthur asked. Not again.
"No. I am Alpha Hercules's daughter." I replied. My reply came out sharper than I intended. This is really irritating though. Why does people call me that man’s daughter? I don’t know why but I am starting to feel bitter about my father.
"You are from another pack?" he asked confused.
"No sir. I am from this pack only." I replied smiling.
"I don't understand. I have never heard of him. I didn't even knew there was any other alpha in the town. How can there be two alphas for the same pack?" he asked, his eyes going wide with confusion.
"It's a long story." I said shrugging.
"Okay. Does your father know about Ash being your mate?" he asked.
"Yeah. They have met each other." I said. The meeting wasn’t how I expected it to be though.
"I would really like to meet him someday." He said hopefully or thinking that I am a fool. I didn’t really catch his expressions correctly.
"I would you rather not. The pack didn't take it very well." I warned.
"Oh." He said disappointed?
"Dad can we talk about something else?" Asher intervened.
"I am really sorry for making you uncomfortable. Tell me about yourself." He said laughing.
"I lived in Esterden till now with my uncle, aunt and brother. I moved here few weeks ago. I am in 11th grade and go to the Greycoast high." I said quickly. Too quickly I may add.
"What about your parents?" he asked.
